See every moment

Again, today, I saw some pretty amazing things.  Awesome beauty of nature.  And the splendor of  the world.

We went to Glacier Point today at Yosemite National Park.  We could see Half Dome, and El Capitan, Cathedral Rock, Brides Veil Fall, and Yosemite Falls, and so many other  creations of note.

It felt like a long hike down.  Steeply down.  That 4.6 miles of decline made my quads hurt.  But it was worth every step.

Yet, as I breathed in all that was around me, and had a deep appreciation of the place that I was in

… I realized the obvious.

On any given day…. where ever we may be…. the same splendor of the world is all around us.

I think we just need to slow down, and take the time to see.  Not just look at it… but see.

And in any given moment, we can feel the power of the energy of the entire Universe.  It is always with us, around us, and through us.  We simply need to see.

To me, every hour of the day and night is an unspeakably perfect miracle.
Walt Whitman

It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.
Henry David Thoreau

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.
Joseph Campbell
