The thing about my walkabout today has been irking me since it happened. I was on the corner of Meeting and Broad, and turned and photographed this postal worker emptying mail bins. He pointed right at me and said, “Hey. Stop doing that right now.” So I smiled at him and said okay, and didn’t take any more frames. (But I saw a shot in the making.) Here’s the thing. I was on public property, and he was on public property. So I am pretty sure I had the right to be taking his photograph. I’m not sure what would’ve happened if I had continued shooting. At any rate, this is Mr. Grumpy Pants, the Mailman, I’ll call him.
…..so, I can’t use that idea for my shot today. (LOL) I walked through the little garden at the Hollings Judicial Center and took this shot instead. Fritz Hollings was one of the Governor’s of South Carolina. His family, his father, used to live in this house. He was Adolph Hollings. More on that some other time. This is some judge…..Byrnes, I think.
