Wonders.

Oh, since I started breathing the air on this planet… I started to wonder.  Not wander.  I am a homebody.   I stay put.  But my mind sure does go all over the place.

Yep.  I was an early wonderer.

“Mr. Carlson… how come you are missing the hair on top of your head?

“Sister Adriana… how come you have so much hair in your nose?”

Well… it wasn’t long before I was warned about THAT type of wondering.

But still it continues.  Now… mostly in an unspoken fashion.  Yet.  Every now and again, I simply have to ask.  So tonight, a few questions from my cranium.  And then… some life observations from those people (past & present) more insightful than I.

“Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.” – Marianne Williamson

“There are times when silence has the loudest voice” – Leroy Brownlow

It makes me a little angry that phonetic isn’t spelled the way it sounds.  To the point of using profanity.

“When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear.”  – Mark Twain

Why are a wise man and a wise guy opposites?

“A man only becomes wise when he begins to calculate the approximate depth of his ignorance.” – Gian Carlo Menotti

If you try to fail, and succeed at it, which have you done?

Before the light bulb was invented, what appeared over peoples heads when they had an idea?

“Everyone is in love with his own ideas” – Carl Gustav

I wonder why people think there is a secret to happiness.

“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” – Frederick Keonig

“Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.”  – Confucius
