No Princess up there.

Do  you ever feel like you are under pressure?  I do…

Sometimes, when I write this mess at night…. and I don’t have much to say… boy…. do I EVER feel the pressure then. So tonight… I am going to talk about these monsters in the sky.

Thank goodness for water. And towers.

And whence the two shall meet.

It doesn’t seem like a logical combination of items. Water. Tower.

It isn’t like a classic combination, such as peanut butter and jelly, or eggs and bacon.

Water tower is more like a Shelf Steam. Or a Hammer Juice. What the heck.

But, really. There you have it…

Sometimes the most unlikely combinations seem to really work well together. What is the big one right now….Fried Chicken Waffles? Or something crazy like that. Or how about Bacon Ice cream? Or Sea Salt with Chocolate.

Back to it.  Water towers.
They are such a regular part of our existence, but someone had to think up this unlikely duo.  And that was some kind of snappy thinking.  Brilliantly Buoyant.

The use of elevated water storage tanks has existed since ancient times in various forms. BUT…. the modern use of water towers for pressurized public water systems has only been around since the mid-19th century. Just in case you have long wanted the lowdown on this.

Actually….. I’ve liked them for a long time. As a kid… I used to think they were golf tees for Paul Bunyan… gullible little blond that I was.

So tonight… is simple a salute to the holder of the water… high above our head.
Thanks for the showers. In this case… we truly appreciate all the pressure.
