The end of the boat ride\u2026 around a little pond called the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n

Today, was an early start.\u00a0 Up at 5:30.\u00a0 We disembarked.\u00a0\u00a0 Like dogs\u2026 we barked\u2026. and then we schlepped luggage.\u00a0 We set our little feet on the ground in Amsterdam.\u00a0 (Some of us have littler feet than others… due to recent spa treatments… I’ll tell you.)<\/p>\n

So….. We started walking\u2026 and then we we didn\u2019t really quit walking until 9:00 p.m. tonight.\u00a0 Okay\u2026 truth be told\u2026 we stopped and ate quite a few times today.\u00a0 There is so much great food in Amsterdam.\u00a0 On every corner of this place… it seems.\u00a0 The best dang dark bread in the world.\u00a0 With meats and cheeses.<\/p>\n

And tonight\u2026 our fearless leader\u2026. found an out of the way French Restaurant which really shouldn\u2019t be missed.\u00a0 It was pretty much sinful\u2026 it was THAT good.<\/p>\n

We saw a lot of sights again today.\u00a0 We had a good visit to the Anne Frank House. (It was good in that it gave us an appreciation for our current freedoms.) \u00a0 And then…. at the completely other end of the spectrum\u2026 we took a quick tour through the Red Light District.<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 I know you are probably tired of hearing this.\u00a0 But I can\u2019t say it enough.\u00a0 What a interesting, compelling, and intriguing world in which we live.\u00a0 I am simply astonished\u2026. once again.<\/p>\n

I am guessing that Anne Frank was about 13 years old when she wrote her diary?\u00a0 I am also guessing that many of the women who were working the Red Light District were about 13 when they ran away from home?\u00a0 How is it… that we are… who we are?<\/p>\n

Like I said a moment ago.\u00a0 Oh what a world we live in.<\/p>\n

On a lighter note.\u00a0 Much lighter.\u00a0 My other big lesson for the day\u2026..\u00a0 If you are going to commit to having a tattoo\u2026 you better mean it.\u00a0 Even if you are in the Red Light District\u2026. in Amsterdam.\u00a0 That’s all I can say about that.<\/p>\n
