I have a few friends who are Vegetarians.\u00a0 They don\u2019t really give me the \u201cwhat for\u201d about being a big old Carnivore.\u00a0 Which I am. But every now and again, they will bring up a reason against the consumption of meat\u2026. and of course\u2026. the benefits of vegetables.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cLeaving a footprint\u201d and all of that.\u00a0 I know.\u00a0 I know.\u00a0 But I just have to have it.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that I love meat\u2026 I eat WAY more than the recommended daily dose of vegetables each day.\u00a0 I like them every bit as much.\u00a0\u00a0 Steam up some cauliflower\u2026 or anything\u2026. and I am one happy camper.\u00a0 I truly like vegetables.\u00a0 One and\u00a0 all.<\/p>\n

Anyway\u2026 back to the beef of this thing.\u00a0\u00a0 And pork, and chicken\u2026 and fish.<\/p>\n

Mary and I decided it would be nice to get a half side of beef delivered to the house.\u00a0 Again\u2026 who doesn\u2019t love a cheeseburger on a Monday?\u00a0 Just like Wimpy.\u00a0 \u201cI will gladly pay you Tuesday, for a hamburger today.\u201d<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 There you have it.<\/p>\n

Just after I hung up the phone and ordered it from the Beef Guy\u2026 one of my Vegan friends called.\u00a0 This time\u2026 she just simply said that she thought eating beef just \u201cwasn\u2019t good for you.\u201d\u00a0 Well\u2026. I let it go.<\/p>\n

The next day\u2026 Bob the Beef Guy drove to the house.\u00a0 Low and behold\u2026 the Veggie Gods must have thrown down their broccoli spears\u2026.. and ran Bob right off the driveway.\u00a0 Over the rocks he went\u2026 and almost into our pond.\u00a0 Just five inches shy of six cylinders falling into seven feet of water.\u00a0 You do the math.<\/p>\n

He had to get a huge tow out of there, and was unable to bring the order to the house.\u00a0 He said now\u2026 it might be another week or so.<\/p>\n

It just goes to show you\u2026. The meat truck\u00a0 will take a long time to deliver because of the Jerky ride.<\/p>\n

And\u2026.well….. maybe eating meat is bad for you after all.\u00a0\u00a0 Naaahhhhhh…..\u00a0 I think it means that we should have asked for surf ‘n’ turf.<\/p>\n
