Snow in April.\u00a0 I guess it isn’t that big of a deal, given the winter we’ve had.\u00a0 But, here it is April 15.\u00a0 Tax Day.\u00a0 And it is colder than a well-digger’s bottom.<\/p>\n

It just goes to show you…. there is no such thing as a sure thing.<\/p>\n

Spring has sprung, you see.\u00a0 We’ve been singing things like…. “April Showers bring May Flowers”…. you know… warm weather songs.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 But to no avail.<\/p>\n

But while we are on the point of Summer Songs.\u00a0 I am not a Jimmy Buffet fan.\u00a0 At all.\u00a0 It seems like people really start playing Jimmy Buffett songs in the summer.\u00a0 How many times are these folks going to get wasted away in Margaritaville?\u00a0 Most of his songs are kinda’ focused on the party.\u00a0 “Why Don’t We Get Drunk?”\u00a0 or “Last Mango in Paris”…<\/p>\n

I guess if I had to choose any song of his that I could listen to, it would be “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”\u00a0 Now….. that one seems right to me.\u00a0 I mean… just about any time you have a cheeseburger…. it IS paradise.<\/p>\n

But I guess\u00a0 the definition of paradise depends on the person describing it.\u00a0 Skiing down a mountain in Colorado, in 20 degree weather is FAR from paradise to me.\u00a0 But there are some people who would chose this activity above all the rest.\u00a0 Or scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef.\u00a0 While this may be a totally fascinating experience… it just isn’t my cup of tea.\u00a0 Diving out of airplanes.\u00a0 Big NOPE again.<\/p>\n

It seems that paradise is quite specific to the individual.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kind of like beauty.\u00a0 It is all in the eye of the beholder.\u00a0 I am not sure what my specific paradise would be.\u00a0 Bowling, while watching football, and eating cheese burgers, at a dog-friendly bowling alley… sort of comes to mind.<\/p>\n

But wouldn’t you know it.\u00a0 I am WAY off topic.\u00a0 I was going to write about the coldest April day on record.\u00a0 Or…. was I going to write about the history of tax day.\u00a0 Well… at this point… both are probably history.<\/p>\n

Perhaps some of you are getting really big tax returns though.\u00a0 Which may be paradise for a lot of you.\u00a0 And…. I image that the folks who owe a whole bunch are probably going to take a little trip to Margaritaville.\u00a0 I bet the IRS is to blame for the lost shaker of salt too.<\/p>\n
