Angels.\u00a0 Now there is a pretty lofty subject.\u00a0 What are they, and do they exist?<\/p>\n

Some people say… unequivocally no.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They\u00a0 suggest there is not a god, a heaven, or hell… or things like angels.\u00a0\u00a0 That is one side of it.<\/p>\n

Then there are others who believe there truly are angels.\u00a0 But many people have a different “take” on exactly what this might be.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That is another side of it.\u00a0 I mean…. just the Bible itself describes them in a hundred different ways.\u00a0 Not to mention the Talmud or Quran<\/p>\n

Well… what exactly are they, if they “are”?<\/p>\n

As Noah “The Word Sleuth” Webster puts it:<\/p>\n

An angel is a spiritual being believed to act as an attendant, agent, or messenger of God; or\u00a0 an attendant spirit, especially,\u00a0 a benevolent one;\u00a0 OR…. a person of exemplary conduct or virtue.<\/p>\n

So my questions continue with this.\u00a0\u00a0 Can humans become angels?<\/p>\n

Funny question…. I know.\u00a0 But it came up in a discussion I had with someone today.<\/p>\n

Some religions\u00a0 give a resounding NO.\u00a0 Christians say no.\u00a0 Muslims\u00a0 also say no.\u00a0 Jews say no.<\/p>\n

A big YES comes from the Mormons.\u00a0 In fact, they are counting on it.\u00a0\u00a0 The Hindu also give a big yes on that one.\u00a0 Devas.<\/p>\n

Neo-Pagans… well…would probably say it is possible.<\/p>\n

All I know is that I suppose angels exist.\u00a0 A belief. There is no saying for sure… we don’t have proof.\u00a0 And the human to angel thing… we don’t have proof of that either.<\/p>\n

But I think there are humans who walk around every day who are just like angels.\u00a0 Or they act in such light and goodness… they must have\u00a0 some kind of angel influence… or something.<\/p>\n

And then…. there have been other times in my life… when it felt to me like a power great than myself was at work.\u00a0 Again, a belief.<\/p>\n

I know some people would think this is hooey.\u00a0 But I am forever thankful for those times…. and that presence…\u00a0 or whatever it was…. that I felt.<\/p>\n

So tonight… no answers…. only questions.\u00a0 But I like to believe in things which are “that some kind of wonderful.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
