If you want me to tell you the future… I can only tell you this.\u00a0 History repeats itself.\u00a0 So then.\u00a0 Let’s talk about this day of ours.\u00a0\u00a0 This April 5th.\u00a0 A couple of my friends were born on this day.\u00a0 These two guys are as different as night and day.\u00a0\u00a0 Happy Birthday, you Aries’ Boys.<\/p>\n

But back to April 5.\u00a0 What a day in history.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Now.. not so long ago… many of you were knocking back Green Beer to celebrate the day that St. Paddy drove those snakes out of Ireland.\u00a0 Well low and behold.\u00a0 What goes up, must come down.\u00a0 Today is the day that St. Patrick returned to Ireland as a missionary bishop.\u00a0 The year was 456.\u00a0 I think that means he started wearing one of those big hats on his head.<\/p>\n

And… speaking of Big Heads.\u00a0 On this day, in 1722 – Jacob Roggeveen discovered Easter Island.\u00a0\u00a0 Now those are some big stone heads.\u00a0 Mysterious heads.\u00a0 Out in the middle of nowhere…. heads.<\/p>\n

Seventy years later…. The first W stamped a big No Can Do.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 In 1792 , George Washington cast first presidential veto.\u00a0 I’m not sure what he didn’t approve of… but he did not.<\/p>\n

Since we are on the letter W.\u00a0 She traced it again and again on Helen Keller’s hand.\u00a0 Of course… it was\u00a0 Anne Sullivan in 1887, who taught\u00a0 “water” to a blind, deaf, mute woman.\u00a0 Wonderful.\u00a0 And then she said…. “Can you hear me now?”<\/p>\n

Not so very long ago…. we said…..Roll ‘Em….\u00a0 In 1923 …. those rubber heads at the Firestone Company finally put their inflatable tires into production.\u00a0 They cushioned your car ride… less shaking and bumping.<\/p>\n

And… speaking of shaking and bumping … The year was 1954…. and Elvis Presley recorded his debut single “That’s All Right”…..\u00a0 back when he was cute.\u00a0 And looked good shaking and bumping.<\/p>\n

So as you can see… April 5th is a busy dang day on the history slate.\u00a0 I’m not sure how these things could ever repeat themselves…. but stranger things have happened I’ll tell you.\u00a0 Look at Easter Island.<\/p>\n
