We are on the road.\u00a0 Or something like that.<\/p>\n

Travelers.\u00a0 By night and by day.\u00a0 A long dang day\u2026 if you really want to know.\u00a0 It started at 4 a.m. , in order to make an early flight out of Dayton.\u00a0 Needless to say, it is now\u2026. 8 p.m. California time, and we are just getting settled into our room.<\/p>\n

Even though it was a long day, it was a good day.\u00a0 But we are both very tired tonight.<\/p>\n

But here we are in Yosemite National Park.\u00a0 Driving into this park, is always an awesome site.\u00a0 There are big boulders everywhere, and I love rocks.\u00a0 Big rocks are even better.\u00a0 Those boulders haven\u2019t moved much since the last time I was here, about a decade ago.<\/p>\n

Yet\u2026.\u00a0 the 4 hours in the car to get here were a little sad.\u00a0 This part of California is dead.<\/p>\n

No water.\u00a0 Nothing growing.\u00a0 Cows grazing on brown nothing.\u00a0 Golf courses look\u00a0 like\u00a0 nothing more than big sand traps.\u00a0\u00a0 No flowers.\u00a0 No colors.\u00a0 The green is gone.<\/p>\n

As I said.\u00a0 No water.<\/p>\n

It makes me wonder what we are doing to this planet.\u00a0 How much longer this place has before it all shrivels up and fades away.\u00a0 Our children\u2019s children?\u00a0 Will they see it end?<\/p>\n

I cannot guess.\u00a0 I can only hope.\u00a0 That it isn\u2019t too late to figure out a way.\u00a0 A way to at least slow down the destruction of this planet.<\/p>\n

And so I leave you with a brief overview that most already know.\u00a0\u00a0 I speak of that great naturalist,John Muir.\u00a0\u00a0 He was, and is, so closely associated with Yosemite National Park.\u00a0\u00a0 And for good reason.\u00a0 The guy\u00a0 helped draw up its proposed boundaries in 1889.\u00a0 He wrote many magazine articles that led to\u00a0 the park\u2019s creation in 1890.\u00a0 And then, in 1892, he co-founded the Sierra Club\u00a0 to protect it.<\/p>\n

I am thankful to the people that had the foresight and the wisdom to work toward preservation of our lands, our parks, our planets\u2026 such a long time ago.\u00a0 I am also thankful to the the people who have that same insight today.\u00a0 The ones who are trying to do big things to preserve our planet.\u00a0 Blessings to them all.<\/p>\n

With that,\u00a0 I will leave you with a few quotes filled with vision.<\/p>\n
