We are all bright and shining stars.\u00a0 But sometimes we get a little lost in that big night sky.\u00a0 We don\u2019t always shine quite as well as we should.\u00a0 For me, it could be any number of reasons.<\/p>\n

One of the things I think we are supposed to be doing, while we are here on earth, is to learn.\u00a0 Learn, learn, learn.<\/p>\n

Learn how to be better people.\u00a0 We are, after all, just spiritual beings in a warm body.\u00a0 Sometimes it is difficult to remember that.\u00a0 For me at least.<\/p>\n

My physical attributes of being human, cause me to have selfish needs.\u00a0 Or selfish wants.\u00a0 So I try to learn.\u00a0\u00a0 To be less inhibited by my own self-seeking needs.\u00a0 You see\u2026. when I get selfish\u2026 everything else gets distorted.\u00a0 I guess in some aspects, all of us would like to have our own way.\u00a0 But I can be pretty absorbed in it.\u00a0 I\u2019m not crazy about this part of me.\u00a0 But at the same time, I get preoccupied with being the creature of comfort that I am.\u00a0 I don\u2019t like to be discontented.\u00a0 Not one bit.<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 Back to the spiritual part of us.\u00a0\u00a0 I believe we are all spiritual entities.\u00a0 And because of that\u2026 we all have the ability for seeing things as they really are.\u00a0\u00a0 To learn to see around all of this.<\/p>\n

But with me\u2026. it is a big old process.\u00a0 And it takes practice.<\/p>\n

Perspective is a funny thing.\u00a0 Don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n

But, when we practice giving to others, it somehow becomes easier to live an honest life.\u00a0 One where we try to see things for what they are\u2026 and not how we would like to control them to be.<\/p>\n

I think it takes trust.\u00a0 In goodness.\u00a0 And that which is right.<\/p>\n

Oh.\u00a0 There\u2019s so much more on this little brain of mine.\u00a0 But the long and short of it is learning to overcome these obstacles.\u00a0 They are the obstructions that keep us from finding our true, good selves. And, finding the ultimate honest, caring, spirit-filled life.<\/p>\n

So learn as I may, and learn as I might.\u00a0\u00a0 …. ….. I should probably wish this on the first star I see tonight.<\/p>\n
