I am all over the place tonight.\u00a0 I have a\u00a0 lot going on in my busy brain.\u00a0 And truth be told, I am not in the best of moods.\u00a0 I don\u2019t like it when this happens.<\/p>\n

I feel a little bit guilty when I get upset over things.\u00a0 I mean, comparatively, to a lot of other people, these \u201cthings\u201d are pretty inconsequential.\u00a0\u00a0 But I\u2019ve had four or five, right in a row, and it is making me a little cranky around the edges.<\/p>\n

You know, I should have seen it coming, first thing this morning.\u00a0 I went out early to feed the chickens.\u00a0 I hadn\u2019t let them out of their coupe yet.\u00a0 I was walking out that way, and I heard something getting killed in the wooded area, just on our northern property line.<\/p>\n

Whatever it was, was dying a horrible death.\u00a0 It could have been a cat, or maybe a rabbit.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 But something had it.\u00a0 And it wasn\u2019t turning out so good on the receiving end.<\/p>\n

Of course, these things make me horribly sad.\u00a0 And a bit nervous.\u00a0 I had also just let our dogs out, and I didn\u2019t know where our two little ones were.\u00a0 I could see Frances out by our barn.\u00a0\u00a0 As it turned out, our dogs were all back safe and sound near the house.\u00a0 But it put me on edge.<\/p>\n

And sad.\u00a0 I know this is all\u00a0 a part of \u201cnature\u201d and the cycle of life.\u00a0 Somehow, it just doesn\u2019t make it any easier to take.\u00a0 My mind jumps right to \u201cbeing in their shoes\u201d and I can\u2019t help but to imagine the pain and fear they must be experiencing.\u00a0 I am pathetic, like that.<\/p>\n

The first couple of hours of my day were just as happy as could be.\u00a0\u00a0 But then, at sunrise, it all started going in the crapper.\u00a0 And it just kept rolling downhill from there.\u00a0 Of course, I mentioned that an overwhelming feeling of guilt washes over me, when I get all bent out of shape over these things, which aren\u2019t much more than bothersome.\u00a0\u00a0 So.\u00a0 Old Sulky here is writing about being sulky.<\/p>\n

It is apparent that the only thing to do right now, is to turn that old frown upside down.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 Pull up the bootstraps.\u00a0 Straighten up and fly right.\u00a0 All that Holy Crap.\u00a0 How does it go?\u00a0 Fall down seven times, get up eight.<\/p>\n

Easier said than done.\u00a0 Which might be my point to all of this.\u00a0 Things are easier said than done.\u00a0 And according to the quote-makers… it is my own darn fault.\u00a0 Sooooooo\u00a0 ……. … …… …. I\u2019ll get back to feeling snappy any little minute soon, I am sure.\u00a0 But until then\u2026. Cranky Kronenberger signing off.<\/p>\n
