We are off to places unknown.\u00a0 I say that because we are traveling for a couple of days.\u00a0 While we have a general direction in mind, we never know for sure where we will land.<\/p>\n

I mean, we have plans, and intentions, but those things are always subject to change.<\/p>\n

For instance, we wanted to be at the Airport at least an hour before our flight this morning.\u00a0 But.\u00a0\u00a0 There was a five-car pile-up on I-70.\u00a0 So, we waited and waited in one lane of traffic…. with all the other schmucks late for their flights.<\/p>\n

As it turned out, we made it to the plane with plenty of time to spare.\u00a0 Even a couple of pee breaks and a stop at Starbucks.\u00a0 Not necessarily in that order.\u00a0 And away we go.<\/p>\n

Yet, as I mentioned.<\/p>\n

We are off to places unknown.<\/p>\n

All of us.<\/p>\n

That is life really.\u00a0 We have intentions, and purpose.\u00a0 We map a plan for the day, the week, the year\u2026 even the next 10 years.\u00a0 But there are no guarantees in life.<\/p>\n

Except when you are born, and the doctor pulled out the big blotter, and puts a huge stamp on your butt…. which said\u2026\u201dGuaranteed Fresh\u201d.\u00a0 And that only lasted a day or two.<\/p>\n

But back to my point in all of this.\u00a0 No guarantees.\u00a0 Nothing etched in stone. We don\u2019t know what is down the pike, or around the bend.<\/p>\n

We go.\u00a0 And we do.\u00a0 But I suspect we will enjoy this entire journey much more, when we finally realize that we are not really driving the plane, the train, or the automobile.\u00a0 We are simply passengers.<\/p>\n

While we can make all attempts to ensure our direction, we can never really know where it is we might end up.<\/p>\n

Of to places unknown.\u00a0 And liking it.<\/p>\n

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
