I like to take a walk.\u00a0 I do it frequently.\u00a0 It tends to clear the mind and lighten the soul.<\/p>\n

Apparently, a lot of others like to walk too.\u00a0 There have been a kajillion songs about it, at least.<\/p>\n

Oh\u2026 there are a whole-big-bunch more, I\u2019ll tell you.<\/p>\n

But back to the actual walk.
\nIt simply feels good, sometimes.\u00a0 To go off\u00a0 and find a place of solitude.\u00a0 To hear nothing but your footsteps.\u00a0 Or to walk so softly that you don\u2019t even hear them.<\/p>\n

To breathe in deep and take in the world.\u00a0 The world we get to visit for a time.\u00a0 We are fortunate to walk on its surface.<\/p>\n

This type of relaxing walk doesn\u2019t necessarily work if you are in the middle of New York City, and you are stepping over people and dodging\u00a0 treacherous taxi cab drivers.\u00a0 The sound of traffic, and horns, and blaring music.\u00a0 The heat seeping upward from the pavement.\u00a0 The smell of exhaust and fumes and smog.<\/p>\n

Nope.\u00a0 That kind of walk wouldn\u2019t work\u2026 UNLESS\u2026 your walk\u2019s intention was to get the best slice of pizza ever.\u00a0 THEN\u2026 it would be beneficial.<\/p>\n

But.\u00a0 If it is low down and easy you are in search of \u2026 a walk in the quiet solitude of earth\u2019s gentle hold fits just right.\u00a0\u00a0 Every time.<\/p>\n

Putting one foot in front of the other.\u00a0 Beginning.\u00a0 And before you know it, you are on your journey.\u00a0 To nowhere.\u00a0 To everywhere.<\/p>\n
