Well.\u00a0 There used to be a song about it.\u00a0\u00a0 Free to be, you an me.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Marlo Thomas was the one who did the album project about this back in the 1970s.<\/p>\n

Cat Stevens sang about it too.\u00a0 \u201cIf you want to sing out, sing out.\u00a0 And if you want to be free, be free.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Here is my problem.\u00a0 Can I remember who I was before the world told me who I should be?\u00a0\u00a0 Can you?<\/p>\n

If only.<\/p>\n

I think that is where we find a big part of our happiness.\u00a0\u00a0 When finally find out what we always already knew.\u00a0 Who we really are deep down inside.\u00a0 Who we truly want to be.\u00a0 The trouble is\u2026 digging down to that old familiar spot\u2026 where the answer lies.<\/p>\n

And. Back to my stumbler.\u00a0 I don\u2019t necessarily compare myself to anyone else, but I sure do care what people think of me.\u00a0 Or\u2026 more to the point\u2026 what I THINK they might be THINKING of me.\u00a0\u00a0 I know I should stop worrying about\u00a0 other people\u2019s opinions.\u00a0 Gosh dern it anyhow.<\/p>\n

But I sure do give it a lot of weight\u2026. even though intellectually, I know better.<\/p>\n

It has been said that we can be whoever we want to be.\u00a0 But sometimes, it seems like life circumstances get in the way of that.\u00a0 I can only say, that I think it is important that we try to travel to that place. That space.\u00a0 That time.<\/p>\n

Shakespeare started this movement a long time ago.\u00a0 To thine own self be true.\u00a0 In today\u2019s plain English\u2026. Be true to yourself.\u00a0 We are the only people in charge of our lives.\u00a0 My life, is mine to live.\u00a0 As is yours.\u00a0 The only question is…… What do we want to do with the rest of it?<\/p>\n
