There is that old saying.<\/p>\n

You see, there are some old sayings\u2026 I am not quite sure about.\u00a0 I think it is all very dependent and specific to the situation.<\/p>\n

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.<\/em>
\nNow me? I would rather see two birds\u2026 free as birds\u2026 in that bush.\u00a0 Rather than one bird in somebody\u2019s hand.\u00a0 Unless we are all hungry, and it is a chicken.<\/p>\n

Better late than never.<\/em>
\nNot in my book.\u00a0 On time\u2026 or…. even a tiny bit late is okay.\u00a0 A long bit late is rude.\u00a0 Don\u2019t bother.<\/p>\n

Blood is thicker than water.<\/em>
\nI am pretty sure this one is not true.\u00a0 I have seen it with a lot of people in a lot of places.\u00a0 Just because you came out of the same womb doesn\u2019t really mean much more than you have the same birth mother.<\/p>\n

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.<\/em>
\nWhat the heck?\u00a0 Wishing and begging are not one in the same.\u00a0 This makes no sense to me. Not one bit.
\nI make wishes all the time.\u00a0 Maybe I am begging the Universe?<\/p>\n

There are many more.\u00a0 But one that always struck me funny is\u2026\u00a0 every cloud has a silver lining.\u00a0<\/em> I have seen a lot of clouds.\u00a0 From down here, it doesn\u2019t look like many of them have silver linings.<\/p>\n

But tonight\u2026 I actually SAW one.\u00a0 A cloud with a silver lining.<\/p>\n

I know what it suggests as an aphorism.\u00a0 Every bad situation has something good which comes of it.\u00a0 I sure do hope this one is right.<\/p>\n

We all go through troubles.\u00a0 Some of us, seemingly more difficult than others. But each one of us, has a \u201csomething\u201d that we are going through, or have been past.\u00a0 It all can\u2019t be a bed of roses, now can it?<\/p>\n

But\u2026 in those hard times\u2026 people try to convince you that something good will come of \u201call of this.\u201d<\/p>\n

I guess if we learn something from the situation, or if it somehow makes us stronger, or kinder, or more compassionate\u2026that is a really good thing.\u00a0 It is just hard to see… when you are at the bottom looking up.<\/p>\n

So maybe it is true.\u00a0 Maybe every cloud DOES have a silver lining.\u00a0 We just can\u2019t always see it when we are way down here on the ground.\u00a0 But when the light starts to shine just right\u2026. we can spot it.<\/p>\n

Maybe.<\/p>\n
