Oh, somedays… you wake up and you realize… “There’s more to life than just Sock Monkeys.”<\/p>\n

I am sure everyone has this realization from time to time.<\/p>\n

That is when you have to broaden your horizons… widen your perspective….\u00a0 sing a different tune.<\/p>\n

There is a lot to be said for keeping it fresh.\u00a0 You know.\u00a0 Moving outside the circle of sock monkeys that you know and love.<\/p>\n

But that is one of my biggest stumbling blocks, I think.\u00a0 The thing about me… I love routine.\u00a0 I like to know how things are going to go…..\u00a0 even though I know… we never really know.\u00a0 Yet, I find comfort in having things be status quo… even steven…\u00a0\u00a0 and sitting on the middle of the fence.<\/p>\n

Don’t get me wrong.\u00a0 I love to learn knew things… and even to try new things.\u00a0 But ultimately, my heart goes back to putting it all in a nice, neat, little line.<\/p>\n

Like.\u00a0 I can eat leftovers.\u00a0 Again, and again, and again.\u00a0 I am happy when there aren’t any surprises behind door number two.\u00a0 I like to have a set of rules, and stick by them.\u00a0 I guess I am milk toast.\u00a0 Tapioca pudding.\u00a0 Plain cheese pizza.<\/p>\n

But back to the whole deal of it.\u00a0 I think it is probably good to switch things up a bit.\u00a0 Drive home a different way from work.\u00a0 Try to flip the pancakes in reverse order.\u00a0 Tie your shoes in a new loop.\u00a0 Anything.<\/p>\n

Whatever it takes… to march to the beat of a different drummer.\u00a0 A little monkey drummer…. playing the cymbals.\u00a0 Yeah baby.\u00a0 That’s it.<\/p>\n

Play monkey play.<\/p>\n
