Tonight, I am sad.\u00a0 I found\u00a0 out a good friend of mine died.<\/p>\n

Her name was Cady.\u00a0\u00a0 She was a four legged friend.\u00a0 But a friend, none-the-less.\u00a0\u00a0 In fact, perhaps, maybe more than most.<\/p>\n

You see…. I think there are teachers are all around us… if we take the time to notice.\u00a0 They come in many shapes…. and many forms.<\/p>\n

Now Cady was one of those dogs who had a heart of gold, but at the same time, it seemed to me, that she had the weight of the world on her.<\/p>\n

There was always, ALWAYS, something to be done.\u00a0 And SHE had to be a part of it.\u00a0 A lot of times, this involved, the incredibly elusive and mysterious phenomenon called The Tennis Ball.<\/p>\n

“Where’s your ball Cady?\u00a0 Go get your ball.”<\/em>
\nAnd then she would warp into the mindset… the preoccupation, the distraction, the obsession with finding the tennis ball.<\/p>\n

In her mind. … she would have to find it….. OR… OR ELSE.<\/p>\n

So then, with all her might, with all her mind, with all her energy and vigor… she WOULD find the ball.<\/p>\n

IT was her goal.\u00a0 Her quest.\u00a0 Her destination.\u00a0 And she fulfilled it, time and again.<\/p>\n

You see.\u00a0 I learned lessons from Cady.<\/p>\n

And…… Oh how we love these friends.\u00a0 My heart aches that she is gone.\u00a0 My heart aches for her people.<\/p>\n

It reminded me, tonight, of my pal Harley.\u00a0 I will still forever miss him.\u00a0 Another heart of gold.<\/p>\n

A beautiful blessing that my life has known.\u00a0 And yet one more great teacher.<\/p>\n
