I worked.\u00a0 I smoked and drank. I partied and played. I slept.\u00a0\u00a0 And did it all over again the next day.\u00a0 And the next.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, as I sat in the Chicken Yard, with some of the people I love the very most in this world, and as we talked and laughed, and sat\u2026. and watched chickens\u2026.. I saw the Universe showering me with these tremendous blessings.\u00a0 Like a bunch of shooting stars flying through the night sky.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed.\u00a0 A beautiful summer night.\u00a0 A campfire roaring on the hill by the tent\u2026 and us in the chicken yard.\u00a0 Feeding chickens.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes\u2026. just like all those T-Shirts say\u2026 life really is good.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight I gave thanks for this.\u00a0 From the bottom my heart, all the way to the top.\u00a0 And back again.<\/p>\n<p>I hope to do it all over again the next day.\u00a0 And the next.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Take the attitude of a student, never be too big to ask questions, never know too much to learn something new.\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 Og Mandino<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 Khalil Gibran<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was thinking today about how different my life is from 30 years ago.\u00a0 How different I am.
