I can distinctly remember standing there, with one hand twirling the back of my hair, and the other hand on my hip.\u00a0 I stood there and shook my head, as I looked on.\u00a0 I can remember thinking\u2026 \u201cHeck.\u00a0 I KNOW I can drive that thing better than that.\u201d<\/p>\n

I was probably about six.<\/p>\n

You see\u2026 it had happened again.\u00a0 For at least the 20th time, my sister had driven my brother\u2019s go-cart into a large black iron pole, in our back yard, in the city of Dayton.\u00a0 I am pretty sure you could here that \u201cclunk\u201d all the way to Oakwood.<\/p>\n

She frequently did these sorts of things.\u00a0 We would go sledding at Triangle Park, and always go down \u201cSuicide Hill\u201d.\u00a0 I was never allowed to drive my own sled.\u00a0 I stood at the top of the hill, I think with my brother Ed\u2026 and another sister\u2019s boyfriend who looked just like Art Garfunkel.\u00a0 Anyway\u2026 away Julie went, down the hill.\u00a0 And as she was really gaining steam, she started veering right toward a lone huge tree on the hill.\u00a0 Like a magnet, she went right into that thing.\u00a0 I am pretty sure it knocked her out cold.<\/p>\n

I can remember thinking\u2026 \u201cWell, hold the mustard Louie, I think Julie is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

She seemed to have the Klutz Chromosome.\u00a0 I have it too\u2026 but she might win the prize between us.\u00a0 I walk into walls and such.\u00a0 Drop bricks on my feet.\u00a0 Those sorts of things.\u00a0\u00a0 But her follies are epic.<\/p>\n

It is kind of funny though.\u00a0 We are probably the two clumsiest people in the family, but we are the only two college athletes.\u00a0 Go figure.\u00a0 We also share the silly-bug when we are together.\u00a0 Like goofy as can be…..\u00a0 to the point… people have stopped and stared.<\/p>\n

At any rate, today is her birthday, (by the time you read this).\u00a0 I am the youngest of seven kids.\u00a0 She is number six\u2026 just four years older than I.<\/p>\n

She is one of the people I am most thankful for in my life.\u00a0 I am thankful for a whole LOT of people in my life.\u00a0 I am blessed this way.\u00a0 But there are some wonder-souls in life, who touch your heart\u2026 who make your life better\u2026 who let you know, at just those right moments, that life is this moment and none other.\u00a0 They are golden.<\/p>\n

So Happy Birthday to her.\u00a0 I am so glad for the day she was born.<\/p>\n

And Happy Birthday to all you beautiful people in life, who have touched my spirit. Those of you who make this world a better place\u2026 because you are in it. Because you, are you.<\/p>\n
