Intentions.<\/p>\n

There are so many good intentions in this world.\u00a0 They abound.\u00a0 But so many are lost\u2026 gone, gone, gone\u2026. before they ever turn into action.<\/p>\n

I wonder why this is.\u00a0 I have had a lot of good intentions.\u00a0 Some made it through… into some kind of purpose and pursuit.\u00a0 Others did not.\u00a0 I wonder why this was.\u00a0 Why it is?<\/p>\n

Were they too grand?\u00a0 Too hard?\u00a0 Did they meet resistance?\u00a0 Or was I lazy?<\/p>\n

This morning for instance, I intended to put my shoes on.\u00a0 And I did.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t something I thought about\u2026 or tried reeeaaaallly hard to do.\u00a0 I just had the notion, and carried through on the action.\u00a0 And BOOM.\u00a0 Looky There.\u00a0\u00a0 My shoes were ON.\u00a0 Great intention\u2026 but followed through without too much ambitious effort.<\/p>\n

That is how all intentions should go. I think.\u00a0 Wellllll.\u00a0 Let me rephrase that\u2026\u00a0 GOOD intentions.<\/p>\n

But.\u00a0 Without the endeavor, without the effort, or the exertion\u2026 the purpose isn\u2019t much of a purpose.\u00a0 They say that even the smallest deed is better than the grandest of intentions.\u00a0 So very true, it is.<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 As we put our shoes on\u2026 so should all our intentions go.\u00a0 If we think we should do \u201csomething\u201d\u2026 because it is the right and good thing to do\u2026 the \u201cfollow-through\u201d\u00a0 should\u2026. well\u2026..\u00a0 should follow through.<\/p>\n

Here is the big part though.\u00a0 If we do not have intentions\u2026 then we are simply \u201cexisting\u201d\u2026 and \u201cambling\u201d through time.\u00a0 Maybe it is good to amble.\u00a0 Maybe that is the path for some.<\/p>\n

Yet, I suppose that the greatest endeavors in life\u2026 start with intention.\u00a0 The greatest acts of love, kindness, compassion, deed, and advancement…. most likely started with good intention.\u00a0\u00a0 Oh sure.\u00a0 Sometimes we can stumble upon something.\u00a0 But more often than not…. we do great things when we SET OUT to do great things…\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We love, and care, and learn… because we intend to.<\/p>\n
