People hate a lot of things.\u00a0 At least they say so.\u00a0 They will get a paper cut, and say\u2026 \u201cOh, I hate paper cuts.\u201d\u00a0 Or along the same lines\u2026 with insects, or reptiles, or fuzzy creatures.\u00a0 They might say\u2026 \u201cI hate snakes.\u00a0 I hate mice.\u00a0 I hate flies.\u00a0 I hate maggots.\u201d<\/p>\n

My guess is\u2026 they simply have a strong dislike or fear of \u201cthat something.\u201d\u00a0 Because \u201chate\u201d to me seems pretty destructive and severe.<\/p>\n

Hate.\u00a0 A four-letter word if you ask me.\u00a0 Of the worst kind.\u00a0 Of course we have all been thinking about it lately, in some context or another.\u00a0 Who can help it?\u00a0 Nine people were killed in the city of Charleston, SC, as a result of it.<\/p>\n

I think\u2026. hate masks personal insecurities. Now\u2026 this is not true of all insecure people.\u00a0 I am pretty darn insecure, and I can\u2019t think of anything I truly hate.<\/p>\n

But when insecurities ARE involved\u2026 the \u201chate\u201d elevates the hater above the hated.\u00a0 I really think that is what gets the ball rolling.\u00a0 The other part is fear.\u00a0 They fear what they don\u2019t know\u2026. or things which are different than they are.<\/p>\n

And\u2026. Haters rarely hate alone. It seems to me\u2026 they have a compulsion to get others on the bandwagon. They attempt to entreat others to hate as they do.<\/p>\n

That sense of peer validation makes them feel more worthy, and a \u201cpart\u201d of something.\u00a0 Like they belong in the world.\u00a0 It is a way of escaping the insecurities\u2026. and feeling empowerment.<\/p>\n

This is just my two-bit assessment.\u00a0 But.\u00a0 I have been thinking about it a lot lately.\u00a0 I don\u2019t understand how someone could feel so strongly as to do something violent towards someone else.<\/p>\n

When I have gotten my angriest in life, I have slammed a door, or a drawer.\u00a0 Or thrown a softball down hard in the dirt.\u00a0 And I am ashamed of those times.<\/p>\n

I just can\u2019t understand how someone hates someone or something with such seething vehemence.\u00a0 I am SO VERY THANKFUL I do not know this place of destructive emotion.\u00a0 I am glad I don\u2019t have it in me.<\/p>\n

All I can do in when I hear of such atrocities, is to pray for peace.\u00a0 To the Universe, the High Power, the God, or any one who will listen.<\/p>\n

Our world has much goodness in it.\u00a0 I believe our best action against hate\u2026 is love.\u00a0 Do the good thing.\u00a0 Show compassion.\u00a0 Find patience.\u00a0 Walk in peace.\u00a0 Hold peace in our hearts, in our minds, and in our hearts.\u00a0 Carry it in our back pockets, and cradle it in our arms.\u00a0 Take care of love, and goodness, and peace.\u00a0 And they will take care of us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
