Today was full of a lot of things.\u00a0 Like, really great moments.\u00a0 And a lot of learning too.<\/p>\n

WE j\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 n,\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026mlki9kyghhtXZ<\/p>\n

Take for instance the fact that Maxie just wanted on my lap, just as I sat down to write.\u00a0 So I obliged.\u00a0 And she composed the line just above this paragraph.\u00a0 Good dog.\u00a0 Smart dog.\u00a0 I am not sure what she wanted to say exactly.\u00a0 You see\u2026 it is hard for her to type with those little paws.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, I found out that a lot of people in the early 1900s, broke their arms when they would try to start their cars.\u00a0 I guess those hand-crank starters could really kick back and hurt you.\u00a0 So that very young Charles Kettering invented the self-starter for the automobile.\u00a0 He, and a few others.\u00a0 They did in a barn\u2026 the Deed\u2019s Barn.<\/p>\n

How do I know?\u00a0 We took the grand boys\u00a0 to Carrillon Park this morning\u2026 and afternoon.\u00a0 What a great day, and what an incredible place.\u00a0 It had been a lot of years since I had been there.\u00a0 There is so much there to see and do and learn.<\/p>\n

We saw tons of old, and very amazing cash registers.
\nWe rode the carousel.
\nWe found a secret door in one of the buildings.
\nAnd\u2026 we also discovered the last refrigerator produced at Frigidaire.\u00a0 It was covered with signatures.\u00a0 My Dad\u2019s X is somewhere on that fridge.\u00a0 But we couldn\u2019t find it\u2026.as two sides could not be seen.<\/p>\n

Then\u2026 we had a frightening moment. We saw the early Dayton Setters\u2026.. George and Mary Newcomb.\u00a0 They were not the prettiest of people.\u00a0 Nor was their daughter Jane. But perhaps they were quite smart people.\u00a0 But they looked a little on the scary side.<\/p>\n

We ate at Spaghetti Warehouse, where all little spaghetti and meatball lovers\u2026 like to go.\u00a0 And we picked up plants of all sorts\u2026 at Stockslager\u2019s Nursery.<\/p>\n

There were some down turns to the day too.\u00a0 A couple of bumps in the road.\u00a0 Like\u2026 one of my tamest fish.. Mary Josephine,\u2026 was dead in the Koi Pond when we got home.\u00a0\u00a0 And Frances\u2019 boy\u2026 Dashe\u2026 has a malignant tumor in his head.\u00a0 He is my sister\u2019s dog.\u00a0 I love that boy.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it is hard to balance my mood when there are good things going on, and bad things going on\u2026. at the very same time.\u00a0 It is like getting all those great presents on Christmas Morning\u2026 your G.I.Joe with the Kung Fu Grip\u2026 and everything.\u00a0 But at the same time, you know there are children starving in Africa.\u00a0 Your parents told you so when you didn\u2019t want to finish your Pinto Beans three nights ago.\u00a0 So you are torn between feeling happy and sad.<\/p>\n

This is true for me\u2026 a lot of days of my life.\u00a0 I am torn between the happy and the sad.\u00a0 Maybe we are supposed to walk the line, like Johnny Cash said.\u00a0 I just don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

But I do know, that most days, life is very good to me.\u00a0 And for that, I am eternally grateful.\u00a0 So very thankful for all the blessings in my life, and there are many.\u00a0 Starting right off\u2026 with the three people who were sharing my day today.<\/p>\n
