What wasn\u2019t to love about \u201cMiss Mouse\u201d?\u00a0 She was favored by all.\u00a0 Witty. Smart. Charming.\u00a0 Adorable.\u00a0 Clever.<\/p>\n

When she walked down the little mouse streets, other mouses would stop, and turn their heads.\u00a0 Simply because she exuded brilliance in every way.\u00a0 They had to catch a glimpse.<\/p>\n

Her talents were endless.\u00a0 She recited the mouse alphabet backwards, while standing on her head.\u00a0 She quoted Edgar Allan Poe when she skydived.\u00a0 She made elaborate butter sculptures\u2026 of dolphins diving on waves…. … from scratch.\u00a0 She could land a triple-lutz… on any rink of ice.\u00a0 Miss Mouse never knew a stranger.\u00a0 Everyone smiled when they saw her.<\/p>\n

She grew up on Fastleberry Lane. Of course, the two most popular boy mice were madly in mouse love with her.\u00a0 They lived on Fastleberry Lane as well.<\/p>\n

Every Saturday, Alfred brought her flowers and boxes of chocolates.
\nMelvin cooked her little tiny chicken eggs, with Rye toast and fried bologna …. on Wednesdays.\u00a0 The other mice made fun of Melvin.\u00a0 But he courageously continued with his gifts of fried chicken eggs.<\/p>\n

Years later, after mouse college\u2026 they both asked her for her little mouse hand in marriage.\u00a0 Alfred earned his Bachelor\u2019s in Accounting.\u00a0 Melvin became Research Biologist.\u00a0 And Miss Mouse graduated with a degree in Quantum Physics.<\/p>\n

Both mouse boys promised her Baby Cheeses for all her life, and a Villas in the Mediterranean.\u00a0 They wooed her, and wowed her, and showered her with their gifts.<\/p>\n

But in the end, it was Melvin who had won her heart from the start.
\nShe told him in their 72nd year of marriage\u2026 \u201cHoney, it was always the little chicken eggs.\u201d<\/p>\n
