I feel it in my bones.\u00a0 Now there is a saying for you.<\/p>\n

Where did it come from?\u00a0 We have a lot of bones.\u00a0 206 roughly.\u00a0\u00a0 We start out with a lot more than that\u2026 but somewhere along the line\u2026 we lose about 64.\u00a0 I think it is a result of being mindless.<\/p>\n

But\u2026 back to the deal.<\/p>\n

That phrase:\u00a0 I can feel it in my bones.\u00a0 A hunch.\u00a0 A premonition.\u00a0 I belief that something will happen\u2026.<\/p>\n

Perhaps.\u00a0 I guess I get \u201cfeelings\u201d about things fairly often.\u00a0 Sometimes they pan out, and other times\u2026 not so much.\u00a0 I will blame my poor \u201chunch\u201d record on those missing bones.<\/p>\n

But let\u2019s get down to the bare bones.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been chilled to the bone.\u00a0 Frequently.
\nI\u2019ve been bad to the bone.\u00a0 Again, frequently.
\nI\u2019ve boned up for exams.\u00a0 Not so frequently.
\nThere are times when I have been like a dog with a bone.
\nThat typically results when I have had a bone to pick with someone.\u00a0 At those times, typically \u2026 I\u2019ve had a bone of contention.<\/p>\n

There were times in life when I worked my fingers to the bone.
\nAnd I still do.
\nPerhaps that is why I feel like skin and bones sometimes.<\/p>\n

What the heck\u2026 Knick Knack Paddy Whack.\u00a0 Give the dog a bone.<\/p>\n

But seriously\u2026..\u00a0 Let\u2019s make no bones about this last one.<\/p>\n

Sticks and stones may break my bones.\u00a0 This phrase then goes on to say that \u201cwords will never hurt me.\u201d\u00a0 Whoever came up with this saying\u2026 is whacky.\u00a0 Whacky like a funny bone.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately,\u00a0\u00a0 I have been hurt by words.\u00a0 I get hurt by words all the time.\u00a0 On occasion, I even get my feelings hurt when nary a word was said.\u00a0 I am pretty sensitive about things\u2026. probably as a result of lack of confidence.\u00a0 Nonetheless.\u00a0 It happens.
\nPerhaps…I am just too thin skinned.
\nOr I wear my heart on my sleeve.
\nOr that I get butterflies in my stomach.
\nOr…I just can’t keep my eye on the ball.<\/p>\n

Oh.\u00a0 It sounds like it could be any number of things happening… when those words hurt me and my bones.
