You know\u2026\u00a0 it just hit me.<\/p>\n

These Chickens of ours.\u00a0 We are really fond of them.\u00a0 We are.\u00a0 Just this evening, we sat out in the coop with the Orpington\u2019s.\u00a0\u00a0 They are friendly chickens, indeed.\u00a0 And they seem to be developing little personalities of their own.<\/p>\n

We think they are beautiful creatures.\u00a0 But truth be told\u2026 they are going through a slightly ugly phase.\u00a0 Those awkward growing years.\u00a0 I suppose… for for chickens\u2026. those awkward months.<\/p>\n

But here is what hit me.\u00a0 The analogy.<\/p>\n

I remember those college days\u2026 when you would go out to a bar and throw back a few more cold ones that you really ought to. Things become much funnier, and way more interesting.\u00a0 And you meet a really cute somebody\u2026 in my case\u2026. a really cute chick.\u00a0 And the next day\u2026 you wake up\u2026. and the cute chick isn’t so cute any more.<\/p>\n

Well…. there you have it.<\/p>\n

I for one, am glad those days are gone.\u00a0 I don\u2019t drink any more.\u00a0 And I am a lot smarter about certain things.<\/p>\n

But these days\u2026 when I DO pick up a cute chick\u2026 it is a REAL Chicken.\u00a0 There really ARE cute chickens\u2026. or\u00a0 perhaps\u2026.. Ugly Orpington\u2019s.\u00a0\u00a0 I guess it all depends on the beholder.<\/p>\n

There is a wise old saying \u2026.by Confucius\u2026 which goes, \u201cEverything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
