Isn\u2019t if funny how somethings come in waves.\u00a0\u00a0 I have met at least four very nice turtles so far this week, and it is only Tuesday.\u00a0 The one I encountered today was a beautiful little dude.\u00a0 He was hanging out in our yard by the willow tree.<\/p>\n

Here is the thing about turtles.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t seem like they are likely to have bad thoughts.\u00a0\u00a0 At least, not by the look on their faces.\u00a0\u00a0 I mean, I probably scared the turtle-turds out of this little fella\u2026. with me getting all up in his face with my camera.\u00a0 But he just looked at me peacefully.. most likely afraid\u2026 more than angry.<\/p>\n

People can be different.\u00a0 Some people seem to be naturally inclined to bad thoughts.\u00a0\u00a0 Like this morning.\u00a0 I was standing in line at a store which I will not name to protect the innocent.\u00a0 Clearly\u2026 CLEARLY\u2026 the clerk was not happy about being there.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And when it came my turn\u2026 I KNOW she was shooting mind-bullets at me.\u00a0 Lots of mind-bullets.<\/p>\n

I ducked and I dodged.\u00a0 I would not give in. I just smiled in her direction, was polite, and thanked her.<\/p>\n

Now there is an old saying about \u201cKilling them with Kindness.\u201d\u00a0 But I didn\u2019t want to kill her\u2026 or make her worse off than she already was.\u00a0 I simply wanted her to be\u2026\u00a0\u00a0 \u2026. to be\u2026 \u2026.\u00a0 less angry, I guess.<\/p>\n

Just thinking nice thoughts sounds pretty simplistic.\u00a0 Surely there is more in life to contemplate than that. But the thing of it is\u2026 nice thoughts can be pretty powerful.\u00a0\u00a0 Just making the decision to be kind can impact our own lives and the lives of everyone around us.<\/p>\n

Recently \u2026 more and more\u2026. I have been recognizing\u00a0 the power of thought.\u00a0 Unfortunately, thoughts are not something we always have full control of.\u00a0 Sometimes\u2026 a despicable thought enters my tiny head.\u00a0 Especially when someone is giving me their evil-x-ray eyes.\u00a0\u00a0 But thoughts are something we can definitely shape, guide and point in the right direction.\u00a0\u00a0 In theory\u2026 that is.<\/p>\n

I think that when we are in a good state of mind the world becomes a lighter place \u2013 for all involved.\u00a0 When we act kindly, and have good thoughts\u2026 we create a little positive energy dome all around us\u2026 and it is beautiful.. \u2026<\/p>\n

So I met that little turtle this morning.\u00a0\u00a0 Maybe that little guy\u2019s gentle spirit had a big effect on ME\u2026 and sent me on the way for the day.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow\u2026 I say\u2026. Let\u2019s put our turtle on.\u00a0 Yeah baby.<\/p>\n
