How does an inanimate object feel, you may be wondering? Because, after all, that which is inanimate&#8230;. is lifeless, insentient. It is perhaps, inorganic, or dead, or just plain old defunct.<\/p>\n<p>I have a friend that always offer the same response when you ask him how he is doing. He always says\u2026 \u201cPeachy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, a peach is a living thing\u2026 at one time or another. But after you pick it.. well\u2026 it is pretty much done living. (Okay\u2026 the seed has potential.) But how does a peach feel? Sweet and yummy? Sometimes.<\/p>\n<p>But a peach can be sour, and rock hard too. It can also be covered with fuzz in a bad way, and it always has a huge pit in its gut. So ask you can see\u2026 his answer ALWAYS leaves me guessing.<\/p>\n<p>Do you ever feel like a pencil? That could mean a hundred things too. Very sharp and pointy. Depending. Or it could be totally worn down, broken, chewed on, or pointless.<\/p>\n<p>Consider the ever popular spoon\u2026. especially with cereal eaters. Again, the possibilities are endless. Useful. Or&#8230;. It can\u2019t cut a thing. Shiny and smooth? Tarnished? Dirty? Bent? Made of fine silver, or cracked plastic.<\/p>\n<p>Just what do you feel like on any given day? Peanut Butter? Straw? Feathers? Cat Litter? Gold?<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2026 I feel like a brick. Thick as a brick. Rough, like a big brick. Yep.
