Things don\u2019t always go as we anticipate.<\/p>\n

If things ALWAYS went the way we expected them to\u2026 we would all be Psychics.\u00a0 That would be trouble.\u00a0 I\u2019d know what you were thinking, and you would know what I was thinking.. and \u2026 well\u2026. you can imagine the repercussions of THAT scenario.<\/p>\n

But back to what we \u201cTHINK\u201d will happen.\u00a0 It seems that I spend a lot of time in \u201cAnticipation Mode.\u201d\u00a0 I try to imagine what a certain \u201cevent\u201d or \u201chappening\u201d will be like.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, I get myself downright worked up over it.\u00a0 Downright Worked Up.\u00a0 Now there\u2019s a phrase for you.\u00a0 But it is true.<\/p>\n

The main canon of a lot of the stress we feel\u2026 is this highly frustrating, nagging and oh-so-scary feeling\u2026. deep down inside \u2026. that WE just don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen next. (See Psychic Comment Above.)<\/p>\n

Life is unpredictable.\u00a0 That is the nature of it.\u00a0 Luck, randomness and chance contribute to this capricious existence.\u00a0\u00a0 It is simply unrealistic to think we can control things.\u00a0 Unfortunately, for this worrying little head\u2026 we can\u2019t control that unforeseeable future.<\/p>\n

Intellectually, I totally GET this.\u00a0 Emotionally, I flounder.\u00a0 I know it would do me well to focus my energy on the things I CAN control.\u00a0 Which, for the most part\u2026. are my thoughts and my actions!\u00a0 And. Sometimes I can\u2019t even control my thoughts\u2026.\u00a0\u00a0 (Again.. see reference above to irrational worry.)<\/p>\n

It is best\u2026 to stop worrying about the future because\u2026. because we are missing the best time of our lives right HERE, and right NOW.\u00a0 That is what I understand… in my rational little brain.\u00a0 But whatever body part controls worry…. hasn’t figured this out yet.<\/p>\n
