Oh the wonders of the world.\u00a0 There are way more than seven, I can assure you.\u00a0 Some Jack, somewhere in time, just thought it would be keen to name \u201cThe Seven Wonders of the World.\u201d<\/p>\n

But if you ask me.. .that ListMaker sold the world WAY too short.<\/p>\n

Heck, every time I turn around, I can see a wonder.<\/p>\n

The magical design of a dandelion.
\nThe sense of engagement in the eyes of a ferrel cat.
\nThe leftover body print of a bird who hit a glass window a little too enthusiastically.<\/p>\n

Blame it on the Windex.<\/p>\n

But as history goes here are some of the Sevens.<\/p>\n

The historian Herodotus (484 \u2013 ca. 425 BCE), and the scholar Callimachus of Cyrene (ca. 305 \u2013 240 BCE), made early lists of seven wonders. Their writings have not survived, except as references.\u00a0 As such, the classic seven wonders were:
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Great Pyramid of Giza
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Hanging Gardens of Babylon
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Statue of Zeus at Olympia
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Colossus of Rhodes
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Lighthouse of Alexandria
\nThe only ancient world wonder that still exists is the Great Pyramid of Giza.<\/p>\n

Since that time, many \u201cother\u201d Wonders lists have been formulated.\u00a0 The most popular being\u2026.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Stonehenge
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Colosseum
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Great Wall of China
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Porcelain Tower of Nanjing
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Hagia Sophia
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Leaning Tower of Pisa<\/p>\n

Similar to the other lists of wonders, there is no consensus on a list of seven natural wonders of the world, and there has been GREAT debate over how large the list should be. One of the many existing lists\u2026.

\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Great Barrier Reef
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Harbor of Rio de Janeiro
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Mount Everest
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Aurora
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Par\u00edcutin volcano
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Victoria Falls<\/p>\n

So again, I go back to my opening thoughts.\u00a0 Don’t get me wrong.\u00a0 There is a whole big whopping heapful of crazy-goodness in the Grand Canyon.\u00a0 They don’t call it Grand for nothing.\u00a0 But.\u00a0 A few moments ago I cut a Honey Dew Melon in half.\u00a0 You should have seen the inside of that thing\u2026 it was wondrous.\u00a0 AND\u2026 don\u2019t EVEN get me started on Chicken Eggs.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m simply saying that wonder is everywhere.\u00a0 And as the old saying goes\u2026 \u201cBeauty is in the eye of the beholder.\u201d\u00a0 If you care to find it\u2026 the formula is simple.<\/p>\n

The Wonder is in our Hearts.\u00a0 And all the wonder that WE can SEE in the world\u2026 starts right there.\u00a0 From our hearts. As such\u2026 we see it everywhere we look…. if we care to.<\/p>\n
