I successfully used a Coupon today.\u00a0 This is big dang news. You see, I am not a Coupon User.<\/p>\n

Now, I think the Coupon<\/strong><\/em> is a wild and wonderful thing, in fact.\u00a0 They are amazingly great\u2026. as you can save dimes, quarters, dollars, and such.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 I have heard of people saving hundreds of dollars with coupons.<\/p>\n

But alas.\u00a0 You could even say\u2026 Woe Is Me\u2026 when it comes to coupons.\u00a0 I just don\u2019t have the right kind of brain for it.\u00a0 The deal with the Polly-Head is this.\u00a0 IF I see a coupon that might be relevant to my shopping needs, I think\u2026. Oh, that would be handy to use the next time I buy the Big-Kahuna-Bag of Fried Cheeto Snacks<\/em>.\u00a0 But then, the trouble begins.\u00a0 By the time I make it to the drawer\u2026 where I keep the scissors\u2026 to clip the coupon\u2026 I have been side-tracked by filling the water bowls for the dogs, getting a nail and hammer, to hang that picture of Van Gogh\u2026.once and for all\u2026.\u00a0 and finally, stopping by the refrigerator to see if we have plenty of chicken eggs on hand.<\/p>\n

Eventually \u2026 I find myself at the scissor drawer, and I have absolutely NO idea why I stand before the drawer\u2026 in reverence and awe.\u00a0 But\u2026 let\u2019s say I do come up with the memory of a coupon, and I actually make it BACK to the source of the coupon.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WITH the scissors. And then I CLIP the SAID coupon.<\/p>\n

The next battle begins.\u00a0 Making the decision where to put the coupon\u2026.. so that I will be sure to use it the next time I go to buy Colossal Cheetos.\u00a0 Hey.\u00a0 How about in my PURSE! Brilliant.<\/p>\n

Another challenge, and adventure begins at this point.\u00a0 Getting the coupon to my purse without becoming distracted by stopping and checking the thermostat, taking the recyclables out to the garage, and seeing that the shelves in the entryway need to be dusted.\u00a0 Perhaps….. you are seeing a pattern, I might guess.<\/p>\n

But, if the coupon does get to my purse, the chances that I will have any recollection of the existence of this piece of golden paper\u2026. as I stand in line at the grocery\u2026. while I am snacking on a Big-Bertha-Bag of Cheetos while I wait in line\u2026. IS SLIM to none.<\/p>\n

You see, I am munching prematurely to get my strength up for the bagging process.\u00a0 I love to bag groceries.\u00a0 It fulfills my High-Spacial-Awareness IQ.<\/p>\n

At any rate\u2026.I get distracted\u2026 because the waiting is getting to me.\u00a0 It has been the slooooowwwww line because the lady in front of me is one of those Coupon Clippers, with the huge flipping wallet of coupons\u2026 and she is holding things up\u2026 \u2026\u00a0 with all these coupons.\u00a0 That should probably mean something to me\u2026..\u00a0 but alas…..<\/p>\n
