I was reminded of this, once again today.<\/p>\n

We are tiny specks.<\/p>\n

Oh it is true.\u00a0\u00a0 We are just little teensy weensy pieces of the pie.\u00a0 Heck.\u00a0 Less than that.\u00a0\u00a0 Not even a piece of the pit in the cherry in the pie.<\/p>\n

You see…..\u00a0 the average number of friends for a person to have on Facebook is 338.\u00a0 The median number is 200.\u00a0 Which means half of all Facebook users have more than 200 friends, and half have less than 200.<\/p>\n

Now.\u00a0 Let\u2019s say you know all 338 people like crazy.\u00a0 You know them inside and out, upside and down. (Of course we know it isn\u2019t true. I am a great example.\u00a0 There are some of my \u201cFacebook Friends\u201d that I haven\u2019t actually seen in a few decades.\u00a0 How well can you know them?)<\/p>\n

But back to it.\u00a0\u00a0 Let us suppose you DO know all 338.\u00a0 Bosom Buddy-ish.<\/p>\n

Okay.\u00a0 There are more than 7 billion people on the planet.\u00a0 Which means you DON\u2019T know around 6,999,999,662 people.\u00a0 That\u2019s a lot of people you don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Me too…. come to think of it.<\/p>\n

Take it one further.\u00a0 Our Solar System is just ONE member of a vast Milky Way galaxy…. which has billions of stars.\u00a0 More than Hollywood. \u00a0 And then consider this….. how many galaxies are in the whole big unending Universe?\u00a0 The most current estimates guess that there are 100 to 200 billion galaxies in the<\/span> Universe, each of which has hundreds of billions of stars.\u00a0 Are you feeling woozy yet?\u00a0 I AM feeling woozy… I’ll tell you that right now.\u00a0 And I have a LOT of Facebook Friends.<\/p>\n

So there we are.<\/p>\n

Specks. Of dust. In the bigger scheme of things.<\/p>\n

But not so fast.\u00a0 WHAT…. really, what is the bigger scheme? Of \u201cthings\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

Well.\u00a0 I think WHAT we do with our life energy means a LOT.\u00a0 That is the big picture right there.\u00a0 Because when you start adding 1 + 1 + 1, and on, you finally get to 7 billion.\u00a0 And if each of those \u201c1\u201ds is doing good, in their own little \u201cSpeckdom\u201d\u2026. then you have a whole lotta GOOD going on in the world.<\/p>\n

As Dr Seuss so aptly put it\u2026..\u201cTo the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“Hey Speck!\u00a0\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 You there.\u00a0\u00a0 Be that one person.\u00a0 And be it well.”<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
