I am big fan of sports.\u00a0 I have been\u2026 since as long as I can remember.\u00a0 It is probably caused by some genetic combination of brains cells.\u00a0 But it doesn\u2019t run in the family.<\/p>\n

At any rate\u2026.<\/p>\n

I am.\u00a0 What I am.\u00a0 And what I am\u2026 needs no excuses.\u00a0 (Okay\u2026 singing tangent there for a moment\u2026 thank you Gloria Gaynor.<\/p>\n

Okay, back at it.\u00a0 Sports fan.\u00a0 And\u2026 I am a big fan of the college basketball scene.\u00a0 When it gets to tournament time, I truly love to watch.\u00a0 Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s.\u00a0 IF you are NOT a sport\u2019s fan\u2026 stick with me.\u00a0 I\u2019m not going there tonight.<\/p>\n

This year,\u00a0 I can\u2019t really see anyone beating the Kentucky Men\u2019s Team\u2026 or the University of Connecticut on the Women\u2019s side of things.<\/p>\n

The Men\u2019s final four is Kentucky, Wisconsin, Duke and Michigan State.\u00a0 (I meant it stick with me.)<\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s final four is not yet determined.<\/p>\n

But let\u2019s break down the Men\u2019s.
\nKY State Bird = Northern Cardinal
\nWI State Bird = American Robin
\nNC State Bird = Northern Cardinal
\nMI State Bird = American Robin<\/p>\n

What do you think about THAT coincidence?\u00a0 Now THAT is something you won\u2019t get from ESPN statistics, I\u2019ll tell you.<\/p>\n

And where do those birds sit?\u00a0 Trees\u2026
\nKY State Tree = Tulip Tree
\nWI State Tree = Sugar Maple
\nNC State Tree = Longleaf Pine
\nMI State Tree = Eastern White Pine<\/p>\n

And under the tree?\u00a0 Wildlife Mammals\u2026
\nKY State Mammal = Gray Squirrel
\nWI State Mammal = White Tailed Deer
\nNC State Mammal = Gray Squirrel
\nMI State Mammal = White Tailed Deer<\/p>\n

So based on that criteria alone.. you can see that Kentucky is unbeatable this year\u2026 although Duke comes close.<\/p>\n

However\u2026 everyone knows that the Tulip Tree beats the Longleaf Pine every time.<\/p>\n

So there you have it.\u00a0 My secret to picking the brackets\u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/span> of which I picked 3 of the 4 final teams.\u00a0 The exception was Michigan State.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t see that one coming\u2026 with the combination of White Pine and White Tailed Deer.\u00a0 Normally those two would have cancelled each other out.<\/p>\n

I draw all of this out on a huge chalkboard\u2026 which includes many other factors, such as state drink, rock and plant, to name a few.\u00a0 It can be pretty intense when I am formulating and organizing this information.\u00a0 Crazy go nuts.<\/p>\n

The NFL Draft picks are way worse.<\/p>\n

But you know. That\u2019s how I roll.<\/p>\n
