I have an awful lot of theories.\u00a0 About most things in life.\u00a0 I am not sure there is any right or wrong to many of them.\u00a0 Who can be so sure, really?\u00a0 But I make postulations on a regular basis.\u00a0 I AM sure of that.<\/p>\n

One of such is this:\u00a0 It is my thought that we can pray however we want to pray. That is, IF we choose to pray.\u00a0 We also have the option and freedom, not to pray.\u00a0 If we do pray \u2026. I believe your way is the very best way for you, and my way is the very best way for me.<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 As I am watching the NCAA Tournament this evening, specifically Duke vs. Gonzaga, I see a \u201cmother\u201d of one of the Duke players in the stands.\u00a0 Her boy is on the free throw line.\u00a0 Holy smokes, he really needs to make this one!\u00a0 So there she is in the stands, both hands raised up over her head, palms open to the heavens above, and praying to God that her boy makes the shot\u2026 like her life depended on it.<\/p>\n

And I said out loud\u2026 \u201cLady, I am pretty sure God has better things to do this afternoon than watch the Duke Blue Devils play the Gonzaga Zags.\u00a0 Like \u2026. maybe\u2026. worrying about all the death and destruction humans are inflicting on each other in so many places on the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hold on Kronenberger!\u00a0 You hypocrite.\u00a0 Who are you to say?\u00a0 It is your belief, Polly old girl, that people can pray however they like.\u00a0 The same holds true for the Blue Devil Mother in the basketball arena.\u00a0 So\u2026 I took it back\u2026 right then and there.<\/p>\n

I thought more about it too.\u00a0 Maybe God is funny.\u00a0 Maybe God is a huge basketball fan.\u00a0 He might be sitting there in his Lay-Z-Boy chair\u2026 the green leather one\u2026. way up there in heaven\u2026 munching on a bag cheese doodles\u2026 sipping a cold beer.. and watching the game with his Blue Devils t-shirt on.\u00a0 Who\u2019s to say?<\/p>\n

And that is the beautiful choice we have in life.\u00a0 Or the one we SHOULD have in life.\u00a0 Our free will.\u00a0 Our freedom to choose how we want to think, and pray, and speak.\u00a0 Our freedom to be whoever we want to be\u2026 just like everybody else\u2026 and completely different from every one else.\u00a0 We are humans.\u00a0 Equals.\u00a0 Free will\u2026.. if we are lucky.<\/p>\n

It makes me wonder about our big round planet \u2026. when those things are jerked away from others.\u00a0 Those laws which people put in place, which say we can discriminate against others, because we think they aren\u2019t praying right.\u00a0 They aren\u2019t like us\u2026 so we don\u2019t have to treat them with the same respect as the people who ARE like us.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 It sure does make me wonder\u2026 and not in a good way.\u00a0 But I am in the constant predicament of attempting to learn things.<\/p>\n

So back to the beginning.\u00a0 My first assertion.\u00a0 We all have the right to BE and to PRAY and to LIVE… as our hearts guide us.\u00a0 Yet….\u00a0 If some one thinks their way is the absolute way\u2026 and others be damned\u2026 well they are way smarter than I\u2019ll ever hope to be. It is simply amazing… that they have it all figured out.\u00a0 They might even run a whole entire state… like Indiana.\u00a0 Maybe…. they should be up there in heaven, in the green leather recliner, calling all the shots.\u00a0 That way, I suppose\u2026 God\u00a0 could actually GO to a ballgame every now and again.<\/p>\n
