Some days are better than others, that is for sure.\u00a0 I like the ones where all the pieces seem to fit so nicely together.<\/p>\n

Yet there are those occasions when things go terribly wrong.\u00a0 Or perhaps even slightly astray.\u00a0 No matter what you do… or where you turn…. something or someone is falling over.\u00a0\u00a0 Here are some examples…. none of which involve me.\u00a0 Thankfully.<\/p>\n

Okay….. this is true.\u00a0 In 1980, sixteen stranded Danish fishermen were rescued.\u00a0\u00a0 From a boat.\u00a0 It was cold.\u00a0 They were nearly frozen and in bad shape… but rescued nonetheless.\u00a0 After being given a warm drink all 16 dropped dead from a sudden drop in blood pressure.\u00a0 It was caused by their constricted capillaries reopening nearly all at once.\u00a0\u00a0 That would suck.<\/p>\n

Every once in a while, planes go down or malfunction.\u00a0 But consider this.\u00a0\u00a0 A Boeing 767 airliner is made of 3,100,000 separate parts.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That’s over three million.\u00a0 There is a lot that can go wrong with that many parts.\u00a0 Trust me.\u00a0 My clothes dryer is making sounds like an airplane and it only has 300 parts. And no drink service.<\/p>\n

On with the doom and gloom.\u00a0\u00a0 More people in the U.S. die during the first week of each month than during the last. They think this is likely the result of abuses of substances purchased with benefit checks that arrive at the first of each month.\u00a0\u00a0 Flying high in the unfriendly skies.\u00a0\u00a0 And…. apparently WITH a drink service.<\/p>\n

But we are not alone here in the U.S….. with this “dropping like flies syndrome.\u00a0\u00a0 Across the seas…..<\/p>\n

More Japanese and Chinese people die on the fourth day of the month than any other days. They are likely “scared to death” by the number four…. or so I am told.\u00a0 The words \u2018four\u2019 and \u2018death\u2019 sound alike in both Chinese and Japanese.\u00a0\u00a0 I can’t say for sure.\u00a0 It all sounds like a foreign language to me.\u00a0 But it is a dang good thing they don’t golf.\u00a0 That could get ugly.<\/p>\n

Sometimes bad things happen to good little beings…..
\nThe ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weight and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated.\u00a0 After a hard day’s work like that…. and during the first week of the month… I bet there are a bunch of ants falling on their right sides.\u00a0 I wonder if they drink Beetle Juice.<\/p>\n

And finally…. a pig can cause you heartache ….<\/p>\n

Between 1878 and 1890 of the Hatfield-McCoy feud, three dozen lives were lost. And it all stemmed from a dispute over the ownership of a pig.<\/p>\n

And there you have it…. dag nab it anyhow.<\/p>\n
