Mary took the boys’ to see Paddington today.\u00a0 I took myself to see my Mom.\u00a0 This evening, though, they came back to our house, for some play time.\u00a0 The boys.\u00a0 Not my Mom.<\/p>\n

It always feels like such a gift to be with them… with family.<\/p>\n

Kids sure can be something though.\u00a0 They are just like little humans in kids’ suits.\u00a0 Oh wait…. they ARE little humans.\u00a0 In kids’ suits.<\/p>\n

They can be a laugh a minute, I’ll tell you.\u00a0 They can also be smart, creative, intuitive, generous, kind, and so much more.\u00a0 Oh… but with that sugar comes spice.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0\u00a0 If you sugar them up… they will turn on you.\u00a0\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 A few M&Ms, and they look like one of the balls in the Lotto Hopper.\u00a0\u00a0 They begin to lose comprehension of the English language.\u00a0\u00a0 Like when you tell them… “Sweetie, don’t hit your brother.”\u00a0 Sometimes, they do it regardless.<\/p>\n

Yet… there is not much else you can do… when you see their little smiling faces… but let your heart go right ahead and melt.<\/p>\n

I got about 20 hugs tonight.\u00a0 When a little kid gives you that hug… it is a great, great offering.\u00a0\u00a0 And it fills my heart with joy.<\/p>\n

Until they decorate the dog with acrylic paints.
\nOh… But.\u00a0 Even then… they can be pretty cute.<\/p>\n
