The thing that keeps coming to me today, is this.\u00a0 Hidden Treasures.<\/p>\n

Oh, who doesn’t love to find a hidden treasure?\u00a0 That thing that gives you great cause for surprise.\u00a0 The buried Pirates’ Gold.\u00a0 The $50 bill that was in your dress jacket.\u00a0 An egg with two yolks in it.<\/p>\n

But most hidden treasures aren’t so hidden at all.\u00a0 Most are in plain sight, if we take notice.<\/p>\n

This morning, as we watched birds and drank coffee… we saw a squirrel in one of the trees in the meadow.\u00a0 This little gal ( Okay…. well…., it\u00a0 is a big fatty squirrel, in all honesty.\u00a0 This thing sits in our trough, filled with deer corn, and eats and eats.\u00a0 Like Liz Taylor after a divorce……..\u00a0 this thing eats.\u00a0 Little fist full after little fist full of deer corn.\u00a0 Frankly,\u00a0\u00a0 I am surprised this thing could scamper anywhere, let alone to the top of a tree.\u00a0 But here I have gotten off track.\u00a0 Please forget that it is a big fatty squirrel, and think more along the lines of athletic, and graceful Skippy. )\u00a0 Yes, this squirrel made its skillful way from one branch to the next, up, up, up, all the way to the top of the tree.\u00a0\u00a0 And once there, it seemed to just look around and bask in the glory of the morning.\u00a0 After a few moments of “taking it all in” from the highest high in the wood, it turned around and made its way back down.\u00a0 What a treasure this was to watch.\u00a0 Yet another one of life’s hidden treasures in plain sight.<\/p>\n

I think sometimes, we feel like the world gets hum-drum.\u00a0 Perhaps…. that we are just numbers on a computer screen, or another person standing in line.\u00a0 Yet that isn’t the case at all.\u00a0 There are great and wonderful treasures in each day… if we care to find them.\u00a0 The greatest treasures lie within ourselves.<\/p>\n

You are completely and totally unique.\u00a0 You are a\u00a0 beautiful creature in your own way….\u00a0 with many gifts, passions, abilities, and talents.\u00a0 You have your own personality, and experience that only can be you. No one else can duplicate you.\u00a0 No one else can live your life for you.<\/p>\n

This is a treasure… our hidden treasures….. in plain sight.\u00a0 Each one of us.
\nSo whether you can sing like a lark, or paint beautiful landscapes, fix a carburetor, or bake killer brownies… it is your great talent.\u00a0 Your gift.<\/p>\n

So today…. perhaps…..\u00a0 climb to the top of the very highest branch, and bask in the beauty of moment, the view, the accomplishment.<\/p>\n

Yes.\u00a0 You are completely special, singular, and distinct.\u00a0 Unique.
\nWe all are.\u00a0 We truly are.\u00a0\u00a0 Unique together.\u00a0 Hidden Treasures.\u00a0 Everywhere.<\/p>\n
