Fortune Cookies.\u00a0 They are the icing on the cake when you eat at a Chinese Restaurant.\u00a0 Boy, oh boy, do I ever love Chinese Food.\u00a0 Thai, too.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 And then there is the fortune.<\/p>\n

Tonight I went down to Yum Yum in Oxford to pick up dinner.\u00a0 They certainly serve some incredibly good food.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the place isn’t much to look at.\u00a0 No ambience.\u00a0 No special service.\u00a0 I don’t think they are going to make it, dag nab it.<\/p>\n

Don’t get me wrong.\u00a0 I think it is totally great.\u00a0 Like I said, the food is delicious.\u00a0 The people who run the place are so kind, and sweet.\u00a0 But for a college town, well…. kids want a hopping spot.\u00a0 And this isn’t it.<\/p>\n

Anyway.\u00a0 I am the Schlep of Fortune Cookies.\u00a0 If there is a table of 10 people, I am the one who always gets the “dog” of a Fortune Cookie.\u00a0 “Be aware of the green shoelaces in the factory.”\u00a0 Whhhhaaaaattttt?\u00a0 Did I get the one Fortune Writer who hates his job, and just spits this out to disappoint?\u00a0 How will his bosses ever know?\u00a0 Those fortunes get tucked right away in the conveyer belt cookies.<\/p>\n

Or how about this one… “The frozen ground is where the bear walks with shells.”\u00a0 Ooohhhhhkkkaaaaay.\u00a0 Now I have Life Clarity.<\/p>\n

So tonight, after I finish my Pad Thai and Veggies, I reach for the cookie.\u00a0 Now, once again, it is NOT the one that other people get, like “You are wise and beautiful and people love you.”\u00a0 Or perhaps “Your life is filled with endless good friends and fortune.”<\/p>\n

No.\u00a0 Tonight I am supposed to Slay the Dragon.\u00a0 Or something along those lines.<\/p>\n

But, for once this one makes sense.\u00a0\u00a0 “Slaying the Dragon of Delay, is no sport, for the short winded.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

So there you have it.\u00a0 The Old Beast of Hesitation.
\nSlay he.\u00a0 And be long winded about it.\u00a0 Now, finally…. I KNOW.<\/p>\n

But remember…\u00a0 Always remember one very important thing……
\nFighting the Dragon is often easier Slayed… then done.<\/p>\n
