Tonight, my sister came over to visit and spend the night.\u00a0 I love my sister.<\/p>\n

We sat and talked for a few hours and had such a great evening together.\u00a0 It is what some sisters do.\u00a0 I feel very fortunate to have her in my life.<\/p>\n

Some sisters don’t get along at all.\u00a0 Some merely tolerate one another.\u00a0 And others are SO dang close they are just like…. well…..\u00a0 … sisters.<\/p>\n

That is the thing with people.\u00a0 We are so incredibly different.\u00a0 Just because you are in a relationship-proximity with someone… doesn’t necessarily guarantee that you will like one another.\u00a0 As I mentioned before… some siblings don’t get along at all.\u00a0 But others are good as gold.\u00a0 Like being a waffle in a stack of pancakes.\u00a0 Just because you are in the stack… doesn’t mean you are automatically a flapjack.<\/p>\n

It goes the same with the whole span of relationships.\u00a0 Neighbors.\u00a0 Preachers.\u00a0 Parents.\u00a0 Doctors. Teachers. Coworkers. Children. And on and on. The propinquity of someone does not really matter one way or the other… when it comes down to it.\u00a0 We either like someone…. or we don’t.<\/p>\n

You see… it is easy to be with my sister.\u00a0 We are pretty good pals when it comes right down to it.\u00a0 We sure have changed since we were kids.\u00a0 But we continue to be every bit as close to one another as we get older.\u00a0 Always the little pranksters, jokers, trouble-will-find-us, kind of kids.\u00a0 And, we are still pretty silly when we get together.<\/p>\n

We kept things lively while we were growing up … for sure.<\/p>\n

But don’t try to find us in this photo.\u00a0 The image I have included was taken while Julie and I were off-camera.\u00a0 In fact… we were still eggs in the ovaries… when my Mom took this picture of the family.<\/p>\n

Oh the calm before the storm.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless…. I know my life is blessed to have her in it.\u00a0 I have a feeling we will always be good to one another.\u00a0 Like some sisters do..
\n(AND…… Just for the record.\u00a0 We are pretty sure we came from opposite ovaries.\u00a0 Pretty sure.)<\/p>\n
