{"id":2590,"date":"2014-12-26T23:57:06","date_gmt":"2014-12-27T04:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/?p=2590"},"modified":"2014-12-26T23:57:06","modified_gmt":"2014-12-27T04:57:06","slug":"away-we-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/?p=2590","title":{"rendered":"Away we go&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/appless.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2592\" src=\"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/appless.jpg\" alt=\"appless\" width=\"800\" height=\"601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/appless.jpg 800w, https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/appless-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Little things.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the greatest ideas&#8230; can start with the smallest of things.\u00a0 As the old cliche&#8217; goes&#8230; a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.\u00a0 But it is true.<\/p>\n<p>To reiterate.\u00a0 A mathematical question was posed to me today.<br \/>\nIf it takes six men, to dig 36 holes in two hours, how long will it take one man to dig half a hole.<\/p>\n<p>The answer is&#8230; there is no half of a hole.\u00a0 As soon as the shovel pitches that first bit of dirt&#8230; you have a hole.\u00a0 (Arguably, and I did&#8230;. it may not be the size hole which is required for the project&#8230; but nonetheless.\u00a0 I digress.)<\/p>\n<p>The fact of it is&#8230;..\u00a0 some pretty amazing things start with the smallest of seeds.\u00a0 It just needs to be planted and nurtured.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise&#8230; it is merely bird food.<\/p>\n<p>And this is where it came to me tonight&#8230; as I sliced into an apple.<br \/>\nIf we want to do something great&#8230; it will most likely take a considerable amount of work.\u00a0 It make take a lot of doing and effort.\u00a0 But it has to start somewhere&#8230; with something.\u00a0 The smallest seeds eventually turn into impressive trees.\u00a0 But you can find evidence of such&#8230; in the midst of the fruit.<\/p>\n<p>The smallest thing&#8230;the tiniest seed&#8230;.\u00a0 the first move in the right direction&#8230;\u00a0 and we have begun.<\/p>\n<p>The littlest step.\u00a0 And there it will begin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\"><em><strong><span class=\"bqQuoteLink\">Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.<\/span>\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 Henry David Thoreau<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Little things.
