Well….. one thing is for sure.\u00a0\u00a0 The Christmas Holiday takes a great deal of preparation for the entertainment segment.\u00a0 And just like that…. the candles on the dinner table are blown out . ….\u00a0the roast beast is no more ….the wrapping paper hits the recycle bin… …. and the celebration is over.<\/p>\n

But.\u00a0 I contend that it is all much more than that.\u00a0 More than candy canes, bows and ribbons, baked hams, and tinsel.<\/p>\n

The trueness of the holiday is this. \u00a0\u00a0 It is home.\u00a0 It is our people.\u00a0 It is our “togetherness”.\u00a0 The part that we really prepare for is in our hearts.\u00a0\u00a0 That takes a lot of time, and work too.\u00a0 Lifetimes of giving, sharing, honesty, compassion, hope, and loving.\u00a0\u00a0 Yet…. long after Santa has flown back to the Northernmost Pole…. and the Elf on the Shelf goes to the Yukon Territory for the summer….\u00a0 we are all still here together.\u00a0 Celebrating the blessing of together.\u00a0 Sharing our lives.<\/p>\n

May your candle burn bright now… and always.\u00a0 May you be a bright light for others… and a place of warmth.\u00a0 May you all be awesome.\u00a0 Today and every day.<\/p>\n

When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.\u00a0 —
