I would like to suggest a New Holiday.\u00a0 I’ll get to it here in a little minute.<\/p>\n

But first, the Holidays.\u00a0\u00a0 A two-sided coin, indeed.\u00a0 The holidays can bring out the very best in people… and the very worst.<\/p>\n

In reference to the latter.\u00a0 All you really have to do is spend any time in a shopping mall, or grocery store…. a couple of days before Christmas… to see the absolute worst of humanity.\u00a0 But.\u00a0 Let’s put that aside and talk about the goodness, shall we?<\/p>\n

Yes, the Good.\u00a0 The Magic.\u00a0 It is in the air at Christmas Time.\u00a0 I wonder why this happens right now … this cheer and good will toward men?\u00a0 Why do people take such notice of this during a holiday such as Christmas?\u00a0 I wish we all of us,\u00a0 could do this every day.<\/p>\n

The Wonder of the Every Day.\u00a0 That is my proposal for the New Holiday.<\/p>\n

I have a little story about a friend of mine.\u00a0 I have know her for several years. In years past, we had been nothing more than fleeting acquaintances, really.\u00a0 But now.\u00a0 I have gotten to know this person so much more.\u00a0 And I really like her.\u00a0 I trust her.\u00a0 I consider her a true friend.\u00a0 Probably one of those people I could call in a pinch.<\/p>\n

It turns out we like a lot of the same things.\u00a0 I used to do Food Photography, and she likes photos of Food.\u00a0 Good photos.<\/p>\n

We both love rocks.\u00a0 Like crazy.\u00a0 And good music.\u00a0 And peace, and good will.
\nAt any rate, I am so glad to have her as a friend now.\u00a0 After a lot of years of just a pleasant “hello” when passing on the street.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 She is incredibly kind, and has such a good spirit and energy about her.\u00a0 She kind of glows.\u00a0 Not like Rudolph glows… but like bright warm lights glow.<\/p>\n

And that… is one of the Every Day Wonders of Life.<\/p>\n

These blessings, just waiting to happen… around any corner at any time…. are one of the finest things about life.\u00a0 Friendships for us to find.\u00a0 Very cool rocks to discover.\u00a0 Bowls of tasty ice cream… just waiting for us at Ben & Jerry’s<\/p>\n

I truly believe we find what we seek.\u00a0 It is when we ask… that we receive.\u00a0 Maybe not what we want… but what we need.\u00a0\u00a0 So. Happy Holidays to You.\u00a0 May the gifts abound.
