I have a thing I like to say… when I can remember to say it.\u00a0 But, all of that in a moment.<\/p>\n

Do you have those certain times that bug the heck out of you?<\/p>\n

I’ve sort of had that kind of a week.\u00a0 In just the past 7 days or so… I’ve been accident prone to cuts.\u00a0 I managed to slice a good bit of the tip of my finger clean off.\u00a0 The next night, I cut the top of that same hand cleaning the basement.\u00a0 Tonight, I cut another finger on a food processor blade.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, I was schlepping big bags of deer corn out to the trough.\u00a0 It is getting increasingly harder for me to toss around a 50 lb. bag of feed.\u00a0 Especially when it is 29 degrees outside, and I am freezing my hiney.\u00a0 Anyway, I was walking through the mud with a big sack of corn, and twisted my knee.\u00a0 The older I get… the more\u00a0susceptible I get to soreness, and the aches.\u00a0 And the cold.<\/p>\n

Tonight I was in the midst of a hot shower, and realized my bath towel, was still hanging on its towel bar… on the other side of the bathroom.\u00a0 I totally do not like to get out of a hot shower, and walk nakers over to get a towel.\u00a0 It shivers me timbers.<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 With all of that said…. my phrase is… “In the greater scheme of things, this truly isn’t any big deal at all.”<\/p>\n

And it is the truth.\u00a0 So I have a few minor cuts.\u00a0 Sure, it is an annoyance.\u00a0 But today I passed a guy at the store that did not have either one of his legs.\u00a0 I count my blessings.<\/p>\n

And the twisted knee?\u00a0 Well, at least I can walk… and carry… and see where to go.\u00a0 Not only that, but I can afford to buy deer corn.\u00a0 And the cold?\u00a0 I have a coat, gloves, hat, and a house… with a furnace… and heat.\u00a0 I count my blessings.<\/p>\n

Boy… that missing towel after my shower?\u00a0 Again.\u00a0 Hot clean water. Soap. Shampoo.\u00a0 And on and on.\u00a0 I count those blessings again.<\/p>\n

In the greater scheme of things,\u00a0 I am so lucky, fortunate, and blessed.\u00a0 I just have to remind myself sometimes… when I drop the ball… and forget.<\/p>\n

It is also good for me to remember that I can start over… any time I want.\u00a0 It is simply a matter of seeing the greater scheme of it all.<\/p>\n
