People change, that is for sure.<\/p>\n

In my younger days, I used to be more “social” than I am these days.\u00a0 Truth be told, I was a bit of a party girl.\u00a0 I would hear the word “Party” and I would say what time.<\/p>\n

As it is… and for a lot of different reasons… my little party girl self is long gone.\u00a0 Merely a fleeting memory of flipping beer caps like little Frisbee, and eating jars of a jalapeno peppers… just because I could.<\/p>\n

These days, I am much more introverted, and I take great satisfaction in finding blessed solitude.\u00a0 I call it blessed solitude because a lot of times, it is my favorite place to be.\u00a0 In introspection.<\/p>\n

It is in this state of self-examination, soul-searching, and contemplation,\u00a0 that I think my best ideas.\u00a0 It is also in this time… that I\u00a0 think my worst ideas.\u00a0 Oh the perils of introspection.<\/p>\n

A lot of people don’t like to be alone.\u00a0 But….. solitude isn\u2019t something that should make us uncomfortable or frighten us. On the contrary.\u00a0\u00a0 Solitude is something that should truly excite us.\u00a0 It\u00a0 should bring joy into our hearts.<\/p>\n

It is when we spend time by ourselves….. alone…… that we can find what is\u00a0 hidden deep down within ourselves.\u00a0 Hence, the joy.<\/p>\n

It is in those times that we spend time along….\u00a0 and in a place of silence…. that we can discover our inner beauty, or true happiness…\u00a0 the love in our hearts….. and the light in our souls.<\/p>\n

A very smart man named Rumi, once said\u00a0 \u201cEverything in the universe is within you. Ask all from yourself.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 Or, if you prefer the Bible version, you can find it in\u00a0 Luke 17:21……\u00a0 \u201cThey can\u2019t say, \u2018Here it is!\u2019 or \u2018There it is!\u2019 You see, the kingdom of God is within you.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is what spending time alone in silence does to you. It quiets the mind and it awakens the heart.<\/p>\n

It is all within us\u2026 love and happiness.\u00a0 If we find the place of appreciation, we also can find abundance and contentment within ourselves.\u00a0\u00a0 I think it is good when we can get to know ourselves in this way.\u00a0\u00a0 Because when we know ourselves in this way, only then is it possible to know others.\u00a0 And to appreciate their goodness and love.\u00a0 And be with one another in all of this.\u00a0 Alone… Together.<\/p>\n
