The reports are out.<\/p>\n

Hawaii is the healthiest state to in which to live… in the United States.\u00a0 Now… I’ve been to Hawaii.\u00a0 I think they got this one right.\u00a0 I was healthy there… that’s for sure.\u00a0 And daring.\u00a0 I like that state… a lot.<\/p>\n

I currently reside in Ohio.\u00a0\u00a0 We got number 40 on the Healthy List.\u00a0 We can do some sort of wave …. “WE’RE NUMBER 40!\u00a0 WE’RE NUMBER 40!”<\/p>\n

Why a celebration over being ranked 40?\u00a0 Well… at least we aren’t Mississippi.\u00a0 Dead last down there in the Bayou.<\/p>\n

Not so long ago… I lived in South Carolina.\u00a0 Uh-Oh.\u00a0 Number 42.<\/p>\n

I have a siblings in Maine, Montana, Washington, and of course, Ohio.\u00a0 Those numbers are 20, 22, 13, and of course….40 …. respectively.<\/p>\n

Our dear friends in California pulled in a 17.<\/p>\n

So what does this all mean, really?\u00a0\u00a0 Heaven only knows.\u00a0 But I will tell you this much….\u00a0 I know what I THINK it means.<\/p>\n

We are all going to die trying…. in the end of things.<\/p>\n

I don’t mean to be down trodden… but let’s face it.\u00a0 That’s the way it goes for us humans.<\/p>\n

These days… I do my part to bring up the curve in Ohio.\u00a0 I don’t drink, smoke, do drugs or eat sweets.\u00a0 I exercise every day and eat a LOT of fruits and vegetables.\u00a0 I don’t consume much meat any more… when I think of it.<\/p>\n

But someone told me the other day that I shouldn’t store my food in plastic containers.\u00a0 Supposedly…. It is really bad for me.<\/p>\n

Well… I guess in 30 years or so… they might say…. “Poor Polly.\u00a0 She died of plastic containers.”\u00a0 I will look back from the OTHER SIDE…. and say… “Well there you have it. They told me so.”<\/p>\n

So do me a favor tonight.\u00a0 Have a big bowl of Ben & Jerry’s Cake Batter Ice cream,\u00a0 or maybe a Hendrick’s and Tonic.\u00a0 Do it because you love it and enjoy it to the fullest.\u00a0\u00a0 I think kicking up our heals every once in a while is far healthier than we realize.<\/p>\n

With all that said….\u00a0 Try and do your part for overall wellness.\u00a0 Have some Fried Chicken and Cold Beer.<\/p>\n
