When I was a little kid, I had a LOT of energy.\u00a0 I think I was a pretty good little chump… but I bet I was a handful.\u00a0 I wonder what my brothers and sisters remember about my busyness.<\/p>\n

Anyway… I found out a couple of years ago, that I used to walk in my sleep.\u00a0 My Dad told me that they would tuck me in at night… all in my little jammies… and the next morning I would be in bed… completely dressed.\u00a0 Sometimes in a coat.<\/p>\n

Now, I don’t have any recollection of this… but I have a theory about it.<\/p>\n

I think, at the end of the day… when it was time for me to settle in…. I had it in my little head that I needed to get a LOT more done.<\/p>\n

So, in my sleep state… I just went about my way and…… did the things that were weighing on my mind.\u00a0 Dad said I probably stopped doing this by the time I was eight or nine.<\/p>\n

Or perhaps… when I got older… I started put my jammies back ON.<\/p>\n

None-the-less… to think about it is a little funny and a little scary.\u00a0 Heaven only knows where I went.<\/p>\n

My other guess… is that I was guarding my money.\u00a0\u00a0 I think we got an allowance…. around 25 cents per week.\u00a0 And I didn’t want anything happening to mine.\u00a0 I didn’t trust my sisters as far as I could throw them..\u00a0 so I was always worried they take my stash.\u00a0 I kept it in a little green felt bag with a drawstring on top.\u00a0\u00a0 Like a little Leprechaun.<\/p>\n

These days, I still stay pretty busy.\u00a0 I rarely sit down during the day, except to eat.\u00a0\u00a0 But I don’t sleep walk.\u00a0 Heck… I don’t sleep long enough to go for a walk.\u00a0\u00a0 And I don’t guard my money anymore either.\u00a0 I leave that to the bank.<\/p>\n

What is my point to all of this?\u00a0 None, really.\u00a0 It is just that sometimes… I really wish I could travel through time and see what I was like as a kid.\u00a0\u00a0 I don’t have very clear memories about any of it.<\/p>\n

And if I could travel back… and see myself as a child… I would tell myself a thing or two.\u00a0 Like…
\n– Take the long way home sometimes… and take time to notice.
\n– Surround yourself with good people.\u00a0 Don’t waste energy on the leaches in life.
\n– Don’t be so rigid in your ways.
\n– Be a better listener.
\n– Always be kind
\n– Be present
\n– Always ask yourself about your purpose.\u00a0 Why are you doing\u00a0 what you’re doing\u00a0 with your life?<\/p>\n

My little seven-year-old self would probably say…”What in the world are you talking about Lady?”<\/p>\n

But… if I only knew then…. some of the things I know now….
\nWell….\u00a0 I might be a better person today.\u00a0 If nothing else….. maybe I would have stayed in bed a little longer.<\/p>\n
