On any given day…. one can normally find some little bit of joy.<\/p>\n

Albeit…. there are certain days which I like better than others.\u00a0 I think this is probably true for most of us.<\/p>\n

As a generalization…. let’s consider Mondays.\u00a0 They get a completely dreadful rap.\u00a0 Most people go back to work on a Monday….. after having two days away from work.\u00a0 And they don’t like it.\u00a0 Not one little bit.\u00a0 Mondays have been scorned as such….. forever doomed to wear the Scarlet A upon their little Monday chests.<\/p>\n

A for Abhorred.<\/p>\n

Sundays can be a mixed bag for me.\u00a0 During the Fall…. they are a day I love.\u00a0 You see, I like to watch football.\u00a0 NFL football is my favorite.\u00a0\u00a0 As a result of this… I can really dig a Sunday.\u00a0 But.\u00a0 Sundays seem to be the day when you always have things planned with family.\u00a0 Which is a great, and golden thing!\u00a0 Don’t get me wrong.<\/p>\n

But when you have a “thing” to go to….you miss the games.\u00a0 And then you are sad.\u00a0 But happy at the same time, because you got to see little Junior, and little Junior’s kids, and such.\u00a0\u00a0 But dag nab it… you missed the football.<\/p>\n

Like I said.. Mixed Bag.<\/p>\n

Today… we had a family “outing” to share in.\u00a0 It was actually my idea (after a friend informed me of the event).\u00a0 We went to see the Richmond Community Orchestra play their Christmas Concert over at Earlham College.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 After that, we all went to Clara’s Pizza.<\/p>\n

This was a great time… on several different levels.
\n1.\u00a0 Sharing time with family and friends.
\n2. Eating Pizza King pizza at Clara’s.
\n3.\u00a0 Seeing and hearing the exultation of music.<\/p>\n

Now…. Number 3 was especially splendid because the Orchestra is community based and composed of all amateur volunteer musicians.\u00a0 That’s right.\u00a0 No pay.\u00a0 They do it for the love of the game.\u00a0\u00a0 They were up there performing like crazy….. because they are truly into their music,\u00a0 Young, and old alike.\u00a0 They performed with verve.\u00a0\u00a0 It made me happy inside.<\/p>\n

Yes, I had to smile on several occasions during the concert.\u00a0 Seeing people work so graciously at realizing their passion.<\/p>\n

Even though I missed my football… I found something completely joyful and good.\u00a0\u00a0 And I didn’t have to look… or listen…. very hard.<\/p>\n

So as Monday looms… Let’s put the “ON” back in Mondays..
\nOh wait.\u00a0 It is already in there.\u00a0 Well, while we are “ON” the topic…. let’s find a little love and joy in the day…. somehow.\u00a0 Let’s rip the Scarlet A right off its chest.<\/p>\n
