\"unicorn\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Unicorns sort of freak me out.<\/p>\n

When I was growing up, a bunch of my friends had unicorn-everything.\u00a0 Their rooms were decorated in unicorn-ish pleasantries… with unicorn posters and lots of rainbows and such.<\/p>\n

Those unicorns scared me.\u00a0 For one… they always had agreeable smiles on their faces… but underneath you gained a sense of baleful intent.\u00a0 It wasn’t natural.\u00a0 It reminded me of creepy clowns.\u00a0 Acrimonious, at best.<\/p>\n

Every once in a while I will have unicorn nightmares.\u00a0 Creepy, crusty sinister clowns riding around on smug unicorns.<\/p>\n

Then I am up for the night.\u00a0 Heaven only knows I have enough trouble sleeping without all this tom-foolery going on in my head.<\/p>\n

But.. when my cheek hits the pillow, I never quite know what to expect in the world of never-nod-land.<\/p>\n

Last night, I dreamt it was my last day of high school.\u00a0\u00a0 The dream went on and on.\u00a0 Saying goodbye to old friends, and such.\u00a0 I was on a school bus at least five different times in the dream….\u00a0 and it was packed full of beach towels.<\/p>\n

At times, I was walking through the school with Gretchen Donovan, who I haven’t seen… probably since the night we graduated.\u00a0\u00a0 A lot of the areas were under construction.\u00a0 We went through the cafeteria and they were serving Bisquick EVERYTHING.\u00a0 Bisquick Pizzas, an Bisquick Sandwiches, and Bisquick Casseroles.\u00a0 I said.. “I knew they had a stockpile of this stuff that they were just waiting to lay on us.”<\/p>\n

Like I said, the dream went on and on and on.\u00a0 I woke up shaking my head…. literally.\u00a0 I said out loud “What the crap!?”\u00a0 I am not sure if I said it in my dream… or when I woke up… but that is what I was thinking.<\/p>\n

I don’t know where I will end up on any given night… in the distant corners of my brain.<\/p>\n

But sometimes… I just wish I’d dream a little differently.\u00a0 You know…\u00a0 like when they mention on TV shows about the meanings of dreams.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dreams where you are falling, or naked, or in water, or flying….etc.<\/p>\n

I never have dreams like that.\u00a0 Mine are always Tim Burton movies played in reverse, with a side of Abbott and Costello… or something.<\/p>\n

But now… it is getting late.\u00a0 And, well… time for another night of the unexpected.\u00a0 The unknown.\u00a0\u00a0 Two weeks ago, I was trapped inside a box of Captain Crunch cereal.\u00a0 There was no prizes or toys in the box… and I can remember thinking I would have been able to use it to MacGyver my way out.\u00a0 No such luck.<\/p>\n

So until tomorrow.\u00a0 Sweet dreams. Like Captain Crunch and Unicorns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
