Here’s the deal.\u00a0 I’ve decided I need a Magic Wand.<\/p>\n

I was sitting in a class today, learning the learnable things.\u00a0 And there were a heck of a lot of those learnables.\u00a0 As I was soaking it all in, and thinking about all the practical applications, and the possibilities of utilizing this information… it became a little overwhelming.\u00a0 There is SO MUCH that needs to be done.<\/p>\n

To accomplish ALL the things I want to do with this new found knowledge … is going to take a bucketload of work… and at least… a gazillion hours.\u00a0 I came to the realization that I would have a long road ahead with completing the bigger picture.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It takes a lot of time and energy to Save the World… don’t you know?<\/p>\n

And then it hit me.
\nSquare in the jaw, it hit me.\u00a0 “I need a magic wand.”
\nYes.\u00a0\u00a0 A big old ancient magic wand…. made of some crazy-good wood, and a little bit craggy in shape.\u00a0 It could even have some crystals on it… and maybe one at the very top.\u00a0\u00a0 I can see it as plain as the Wizard cap on my head.<\/p>\n

At any rate… a wand sure would come in handy.\u00a0 I wonder when the heck they fell out of favor with the general public.\u00a0 They have been around for a long, long time.\u00a0 In fact, there are wands mentioned in ancient writings, they have been found in the tombs of Pharaohs in the Pyramids of Egypt.<\/p>\n

References go all the way back to the 500 B.C.\u00a0 and thereabouts.\u00a0 In the ancient world, the go-to magi… were the priesthood of the Zoroastrian religion.\u00a0\u00a0 And they had wands.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Citations continue for hundreds of years thereafter.<\/p>\n

But then it stops.\u00a0 Did we quit using them during the Hoover Administration… or when?\u00a0 I know witches brooms went out with the Hoover.<\/p>\n

Anyway….\u00a0\u00a0 I sure could use a wand in my life.\u00a0 Poof.\u00a0 Laundry done. Dishes done.\u00a0 Poof.\u00a0 I’m now in the desert of New Mexico… soaking up some heat.\u00a0 Poof.\u00a0 Back again… in time to watch NCIS.<\/p>\n

Big Poof.\u00a0\u00a0 Staving off another bonehead political move.\u00a0 Poof.\u00a0 Sent lots of food to the pantries, shelters, and food tents around the world.\u00a0 Poof. Cured this illness and that.<\/p>\n

Oh, I would come up with some big honking uses for my wand.\u00a0 And at the end of the day… I’d do a little jiggy walk… and tuck it back in to the wand-holster on my belt.<\/p>\n

I would have to go to bed early\u00a0 and get ready for the next day… of making the world a better place…. with my Magic Wand.\u00a0\u00a0 We have established…… There is so very much that needs to be done.<\/p>\n

Ahhhh.\u00a0\u00a0 But alas.\u00a0 Tomorrow I face another day…. and ME…. without a wand.\u00a0 On the other hand… I guess I can keep a notional magic wand in my make believe holster on my belt.\u00a0 And then I can try make the world a better place, in my own little ways… touching the things that are within my reach.\u00a0 And poof.<\/p>\n
