Do you believe in nermals?\u00a0 I did, when I was a kid.\u00a0 And I guess I still do…. now that I’m all grown up.<\/p>\n

You see, when I was little, I had the clear understanding that one nermal was okay….\u00a0 safe.\u00a0 But if you had two nermals….\u00a0 it surely signified a ghost was present.<\/p>\n

Yes, the pair of nermal.\u00a0\u00a0 When I first heard the word, I asked my older sister Ju, to clarify.\u00a0 And she said it meant there was a ghost.\u00a0 (The “Theory of the One Nermal”\u00a0 came solely from my adept conclusions.)<\/p>\n

At any rate, Halloween is just around the corner.\u00a0 And the talk of The Paranormal has surfaced in my life about a half a dozen times over the past couple of days.<\/p>\n

It started when someone wrote a message to one of the Community Board of Trustees on which I serve.\u00a0 They wanted to know if there were any Paranormal Groups in Preble County.\u00a0\u00a0 That question seemed to be the first of many that have occurred the past week.<\/p>\n

Then, to top it off, a truck shows up in our driveway with a big old “Paranormal Society of Dayton” logo on its side.\u00a0 Albeit, it was someone doing some work here, and the paranormal thing was a sidebar.\u00a0\u00a0 But nonetheless.<\/p>\n

Even my Mom has been in on the scope and breadth of this thing.\u00a0 After her 91st birthday party, she told me she was happy both her parents were able to attend the party.\u00a0 I simply agreed, but added… “It didn’t seem like either one of them ate very much.”<\/p>\n

So yes.\u00a0 Since I was a kid, I have been aware of paranormal activity.
\nYou see.\u00a0 We lived in a house where, on occasion, “unexplainable things”\u00a0 would happen.\u00a0\u00a0 You could never quite account for it.\u00a0\u00a0 Yet, on the other hand…. we never had any physical proof left behind.<\/p>\n

I do, wholly believe in the transference of energy.\u00a0 I think it is far greater than what we humans can perceive.\u00a0 Well.\u00a0 Most of us.<\/p>\n

So yes, I happen to think that there are “life forces” around us all the time.\u00a0 Call them ghosts, spirits, angels, beings, entities.\u00a0 It doesn’t matter really.\u00a0 I speculate they are all related.\u00a0\u00a0 Like family.\u00a0 And they have big otherworldly reunions.\u00a0 With hot dogs, and potato salad, and coleslaw.\u00a0 (Okay, I’m way off topic and just jerking you around now.)<\/p>\n

Back to the supernatural.\u00a0\u00a0 I am serious about that.<\/p>\n

Ghosts can show up anywhere… I think.\u00a0 In your home, at a courthouse, in a Best-Buy parking lot.\u00a0 So EVEN if you don’t believe…. at least be kind…… if you suspect a ghost might be around.\u00a0 It is just good form.\u00a0 Trust me.<\/p>\n

Oh.\u00a0 And one more thing.\u00a0 Never…. ever…. “goose” a ghost.\u00a0 Your are liable to get a handful of sheet.<\/p>\n
